Martial Law? Revolution? What is in the Future?

‘You Have Awakened the Sleeping Giant’
Main Stream Media's bald-faced lie on 'angry' and 'vocal' Americans
By Frank Salvato
Saturday, August 15, 2009
One of the benefits coming from the recent congressional town hall meetings – of which there are many – is that we now know to what extent the elected class in Washington DC is cognizant of their constituents’ positions on the issues; specifically, healthcare. They aren’t, especially on the Left side of the aisle. Instead, the elected class in Washington – and it is true for an overwhelming majority on both sides of the aisle – has opted-out of their sworn duty to represent their constituents in deference to a blinding loyalty to their political party organizations and the ideologies they hold.
While many of the elected officials in question, their aides, the DNC, MoveOn.org, Organizing for America and the agenda-driven mainstream media talk about the “angry” and “vocal” nature of the town halls, they allude to the notion that the American citizens attending these meetings are not letting the elected officials speak; that they are “shouting down” the Congressmen and Senators as they try to explain a “very complicated” healthcare plan to their constituents. Nothing could be further from the truth.
To believe that the American people haven’t heard – ad nauseam – the plethora of contorted and contrived talking points meant to sell this gigantic over-reach of government into the private sector health insurance industry is to lie, bald-faced, to anyone within earshot.
▪ The mainstream media has been talking about nothing else for months.
▪ Conservative talk radio has been dissecting the five – not one – healthcare legislation proposals currently coming out of House and Senate committees for months.
▪ And President Obama has been focused on healthcare reform – now healthcare insurance reform (convenient how that morphed) – ever since he threw his hat into the ring for the 2008 Presidential Election, so much so that his original campaign talking points about him being a champion of a single-payer system is coming back to bite him in his approval poll numbers.
The American people have heard what the elected class has to say about the current proposals coming out of the congressional committees. We have heard the Washington DC insiders’ talking points again and again and again. We have heard – and understand – what the special interest group crafted proposals are offering, why we need it, why we must pay for it, how it will affect our choices, how it will affect the economy, how it will affect the healthcare we receive, the bureaucratic nightmare being proposed, what the special interest groups will receive, how the elected class will be exempt, and how it will contribute to the saddling of the next generation with insurmountable debt. We have heard it all and we simply don’t like what we are hearing, and who can blame us?! To ask American citizens, mindful of the facts, to sit-down and stay quiet – yet again – while the self-indulgent from Congress, on orders from Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and President Obama, regurgitate the tired old talking points, while using the tone of a parent talking to an idiot child, needs to be considered the ultimate insult.
Add to all this the fact that there exists no one singular piece of healthcare legislation – at the moment there are five proposals between the House and the Senate – and that because of this the elected officials are afforded plausible deniability when they say that one element or another “isn’t included in the bill,” and we can see why the elected class, in all their arrogance, have overplayed their hand.
And so, the American people are angry, frustrated and increasingly untrusting of our government.
We are tired of the spin.
We are tired of the political positioning.
We are tired of the political opportunism that seems to be spreading inside the beltway faster than a California wildfire on a parched August day.
We are tired of elitist ideologues hijacking our government to impose fringe agendas on the whole of the populace.
We are tired of those we send to Washington to represent us in executing good government stabbing us in the back, picking clean our wallets and then ingratiating themselves to special interest groups and voting blocs simply to extend their tenure in power as they line their pockets with ill-gotten gains.
We are tired of politics over good government...and now we are being “angry” and “vocal” about it.
Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO), while seemingly a nice enough person, epitomized the arrogance and the elitism held by so many elected officials today in Washington DC when she responded to constituents’ ire by saying:
“I don't understand this rudeness...I honestly don't get it.”
To wit, someone from the audience shouted out that they didn't trust McCaskill, a Democrat who was among the earliest supporters of then Senator Barack Obama’s run for office.
McCaskill responded:
“Beg your pardon...you don't trust me?...I don't know what else I can do.”
Here’s what you can do, Senator McCaskill, here is what every elected official in Washington should do: represent your constituencies instead of your political parties. Instead of you doing all the talking, instead of you providing only one-way information for fear of your political party’s retribution, have the intellectual courage to do your jobs; represent your constituents!
The bad news in all of this is that there are more issues just as important – if not more so – than healthcare. Immigration reform and energy policy is going to be debated and voted on in the coming years, so the fight, this long, frustrating, maddening fight, has just begun. If we walk away patting ourselves on the back after we send the Progressive-Left government healthcare takeover to the ash heap, we won’t recognize our country come 2012.
It takes courage to stand up to bullies. Increasingly we are seeing Americans, hard-working, average Americans, who have until today, gone along with the flow in a quest for the American Dream, arriving at the moment when they are saying, “No more!” We are witnessing the reawakening of the American spirit and, so help me, I do love it so!
Perhaps one of the best examples of American courage came from a Pennsylvania woman named Katy Abrams in her statement to Flippity-Floppity Senator Arlen Specter (D-PA):
“I don’t believe this is just about healthcare. It’s not about TARP. It’s not about Left and Right. This is about the systematic dismantling of this country. I’m only 35 years old and I’ve never been interested in politics. You have awakened the sleeping giant. We are tired of this. This is why everybody in this room is so ticked-off. I don’t want this country turning into...a socialized country.”
We need to hear from more people like Katy Abrams. We need more Katy Abrams in elected office.
We have a mid-term election coming up. It is time for courageous Americans to examine the voting records of those who represent them. If their records show that they are simply political party puppets, we must – all of us – have the courage to do what we know we have to in order to save our country.
The re-revolution starts now!

The Second American Revolution has Arrived

You’ve heard President Barack Obama’s chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel’s statement about never passing up a crisis? The disgruntled grass roots are rising up against any government health care plan. House speaker Pelosi and others are calling the uprising “Astroturfing” suggesting that it really isn’t true grassroots but some organization behind the scenes are doing what Barack Obama did as a “community organizer” and now that the tables are turned on them by individuals and not collective actions by some community organizer, they are perplexed.
My own neophyte Congressman Kurt Schrader in office for the first time since January is in our area but his staff advises me he is having no open town hall meetings and this was confirmed on a recent radio station. He is simply meeting one on one with people. These traitors to our Constitutional Republic are traveling with bodyguards and police protection in some areas. In our representative government the power flows from God to the citizen to representatives. People elect legislators, Congress people, senators, presidents, governors and judges and the officials are accountable to the electorate, not the other way around. Constitutional rights and due process are upheld and limited government is the result. However, in direct government also known as mobocracy, which we are experiencing now is the result of the people ruling by emotions causing lawmakers to legislate on impulse. There are no absolutes and righteousness. The staff at my Congressman’s office didn’t know these entitlements that are breaking our country are unconstitutional. He didn’t seem to have a clue!
Recognizing Obama’s diminishing popularity with those who are suffering voter remorse, I find it to be an act of desperation by the Democrats as they are going on an attack of people who are opposing the Obama socialist agenda calling them among other things, “angry mobs.” The Democrats have complete control so why are they so paranoid? Maybe they fear disgruntled Americans may start throwing shoes toward elected officials showing disgust and disrespect as they do in Muslin countries.
The Obama administration seems completely ignorant and tone deaf if they can’t realize these are people of all different stripes from all parties so I have come to the conclusion that Obama is trying to goad what he sees as “evil-right wingers” into doing something more serious and my great fear is that some idiot is going to take the bait. My first inclination was the Obama administration would arrange to have deliberate agitators sent into these meetings. FOX listeners saw on their television news the appropriately dressed and armed Black Panthers and by their very presence intimidating voters in an incident in Philadelphia last November. Attorney General Eric Holder decided not to pursue a civil criminal indictment against them. Please remember this same A.G. Holder classifies pro-lifers and pro-gun Americans as terrorists. And now I hear Obama has sent e-mails to his ACORN and SEIU union thugs to infiltrate these town hall meetings and Pelosi is referring to the protestors as Nazis. This could get ugly! Is it President Barack Obama’s hidden intent to then sign an Executive Order declaring Martial Law? Martial Law is rule by the military and comes into existence when civil government can no longer maintain law and order. The Posse Comitatus Act doesn’t allow government to use our military against citizens but it didn’t stop President Clinton and Attorney General Reno at Waco, Texas when they attacked the Branch Davidian killing innocent people. If this is the case, the Constitution, Bill of Rights and Writ of Habeas Corpus (right to trial by jury) can be suspended. In any late fascist shift, the final stage is the establishment of government by emergency decree or actual Martial law and the leader is above the law and he becomes the decider – not the uniter as Obama claimed in the presidential campaign.
The Feds already have a plan in place to train clergy to “quell dissent” during Martial Law. In 1962 the Supreme Court redefined the separation of church and state. The court wrote its own commandments and expelled prayer and Bible reading from public schools leaving a vacuum for drugs, sex, occult religions and guns to fill. These double minded sycophants want “separation of church and state” but now they suddenly would want pastors to “quell dissent” when they should be busy winning people to the Lord. They decry Christian involvement in public policy while at the same time they want to use pastors to facilitate tyranny? Unbelievable! Constitutionalist and Congressman Ron Paul says the stock market will eventually collapse but Martial Law provisions are in place to deal with economic discord. So it is apparent they have long been aware that the possibility of continued, unrestrained unconstitutional centralized government with Caesar as arbiter of morals and “truth” was going to cause a problem.
It is common knowledge to those who are informed and not brainwashed that enemies attack when their target is most weakened and divided and an Executive Order by the “uniter”, President Barack Obama for Martial Law, would serve the purpose of further weakening and dividing our nation creating an atmosphere for our enemies to invade. It’s called Politics of Distraction Eternal encirclement, plus internal demoralization plus thermonuclear blackmail leads to progressive surrender. That long as been the goal of the communists and China has devoted much of its newly found economic strength to building one of the most modern armies in the world. Their one-child policy aborts baby girls but favors boys for a strong military. America’s capitalists and government leaders at the highest level and even our consumers are willing to ignore China’s egregious human rights abuses as long as the entrepreneurs make profits, the government officials get campaign contributions and the consumers are able to buy cheap goods. We may have bought the rope that will hang us!
Whether or not the Chicago rioters of ’68 intended, an article in the 9/1/2008 New American said the effect of their actions was to further empower the government they claim to oppose, and to further erode the personal freedoms of all Americans. One of the most important results along those lines was the creation of the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration, the main federal agency that has been involved in nationalizing our local police departments over the past four decades.
At the World Trade Organization conference in Seattle in 1999, riots occurred and troops had to be called in for mass arrests. Was it a psychological game plan to prepare American for a coming state of emergency? Other miscellaneous military actions in cities across the U.S. have occurred scaring the daylights out of people who were not informed about what was going on and only reported in the areas in which they occurred.
The April 1999 McAlvany newsletter reported that as part of the new Clinton anti-terrorism initiative, the U.S. Army conducted a series of exercises near Corpus Christi, Texas. Without notice to local residents, black helicopters with elite troops from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, descended upon the towns of Kingsville and Port Aransas bombs bursting and guns blazing, with real explosive and live ammunition, simulating a raid against real terrorists. Additional military exercises were held in Anniston, Alabama and Monterey, California.
When the Rajneesh invaded Central Oregon in the early 1980s and followers from the world came to Oregon to worship the Baghwan, our Governor Vic Atiyeh carried a Martial Law order with him at all times fearing violence by the Rajneeshee. When Martin Luther King was shot, rioting in Washington, D.C. caused Martial Law to be declared throughout the city and troops were marching up and down.
Our law enforcement systems have gradually been transformed into Soviet-type management of the American people. Law enforcement that once was a shield of the innocent is now a weapon in the hands of government. With the passage of the USA Patriot Act and all legislation following has effectively militarized law enforcement in the U.S. In 2004 Democrat presidential candidate Senator John Kerry spoke of a comprehensive commitment to national service by Americans of all ages, telling college students “change starts with you” and giving aid for college tuition for national service and now we hear President Barack Obama suggesting the same program. Volunteerism is already a requirement for high school seniors to graduate. Could this easily develop into something reminiscent of Hitler’s Brown Shirts? You say it couldn’t happen here? Read by a retired sheriff far more knowledgeable than I am.
Remember the border patrol agents, Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean who were sent to prison for doing their jobs? Well, recently I read in Jerome Corsi’s 2007 book The Late Great USA that presidential administrations since the passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) have pursued strategies consistent with precipitating a merger of the U.S., Mexico and Canada (North American Union). Mexico demanded the prosecution of these Border patrol agents and President George W. Bush and his Attorney General Alberto Gonzales complied. And then Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila, the illegal Mexican smuggling drugs across the border who got shot in the butt turned around and sued the Border Patrol for $5 million for violating his civil rights. Corsi writes the Bush administration’s lack of protection of our Southern border and his close ties with U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton in El Paso who decided to protect “the civil rights” of illegal immigrants, even when they were involved in smuggling large quantities of marijuana into the United States further frustrated many Americans.
Readers will recall it was under President Bill Clinton and the Republican controlled Congress that we were given NAFTA. House Speaker at that time was Newt Gingrich, frequent guest on FOX. Talk show host, Rush Limbaugh also promoted NAFTA. Mexico’s intervention into American border law enforcement is another indication of our gradual ceding of our sovereignty. Corsi writes our government has lost the resolve to secure our borders and to enforce our laws. The message from the White House to the Border Patrol and all other law enforcement officers couldn’t be clearer: When it comes to illegal aliens, “hands off!” After the Ramos-Compean imprisonment, all law enforcement officers encountering illegal aliens now must consider the political ramifications of their actions…they could end up in prison! A 5/5/1969 article by Susan L.M. Huch in the American Opinion wrote that the whole pattern of drug abuse meshes nicely with the Communist campaign to generate hostility toward law-enforcement personnel and to foment conflict between the generations. It is therefore not at all surprising that at the base of the promotion of marijuana are hundreds of “underground” Marxist tabloids, pushing drugs at American youth as instant Nirvana.
In addition to calling the disgruntled “right wingers” an “angry mob” and “Nazis,” to add insult to further injury now the Obama administration has established a “squeal” website for people to report about alleged falsehoods by their friends, relatives and neighbors about the House health plan that even Barack doesn’t know what is in it. They are looking for snitches. This only inflames people, which leads me to believe this is all planned. Barack wants trouble!!!
The Obama administration hates the free enterprise system and now insurance companies in general, who often must abide by silly state regulations such as in vitro, birth control pills and abortions that drives up the cost. I’ve been told insurance companies pay a percentage to states for every premium they collect. Think of the additional revenue the states will lose if all the insurance company employees are put out of work but think of the jobs in Washington, D.C. that will be required to administer yet another bogus governmental agency and all of them will be on the premium health care plan that the elected officials enjoy. Think Job Patronage.
The breakdown of social values has created moral, spiritual and political chaos opening the door for the political tyranny. Forgetting that eternal vigilance is the price of liberty, materialistic and hedonistic Americans who weren’t paying attention to national problems and ignoring the few voices crying out in the wilderness as our freedoms were unraveling stitch by stitch are trying to play catch up; however, they are finding great opposition because the enemy is well organized while new comers haven’t even been to boot camp not alone ready to fight the battle. Glenn Beck’s 9/12 project is a step in the right direction so it is Onward Christian Soldiers.

US prepares major terrorism readiness exercise(AFP) – 24 July 2009
http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5g92sATJfkAFOJQYMEohSQp42A9QQ
WASHINGTON — Law enforcement and intelligence agencies in the United States and abroad are preparing to go on high alert as part of a massive terrorism prevention exercise -- the first of its kind here.
Beginning Monday, security officials at all levels in the United States and four other countries will scramble into action in the wake of a fictional terrorist attack somewhere outside the United States.
The scenario envisions the receipt of intelligence that a follow-up attack is planned inside the United States, forcing agencies inside and out of the country to test their coordination, intelligence and terror prevention skills.
The National Level Exercise 2009 "will be the first major exercise conducted by the United States government that will focus exclusively on terrorism prevention and protection, as opposed to incident response and recovery," the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) said in a statement.
The US government regularly carries out preparedness exercises, dealing with crises ranging from natural disasters to terrorist attacks.
The 2009 exercise will include agencies in Britain, Mexico, Canada and Australia, as well as federal, regional, state, tribal, local and private sector officials throughout the United States, the Department of Homeland Security said.
"Coordinating with our partners across the United States and around the world is critical to protecting the nation from terrorists attacks," said Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.
"The National Level Exercise allows us to test our capabilities in real-time to refine and strengthen our strategies for preventing terrorist attacks."
The exercise is expected to last for five days and is being designed to test a variety of "capabilities," including intelligence sharing, counter-terrorism investigation, border security, infrastructure protection, security alerts and international coordination, FEMA said.
"Lessons learned from the exercise will provide valuable insights to guide future planning for securing the nation against terrorist attacks, disasters, and other emergencies," the emergency response agency said.

Bush Weighed Using Military in U.S. Arrests
By
MARK MAZZETTI and DAVID JOHNSTON
Published: July 24, 2009
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/25/us/25detain.html?_r=1
WASHINGTON — Top Bush administration officials in 2002 debated testing the Constitution by sending American troops into the suburbs of Buffalo to arrest a group of men suspected of plotting with Al Qaeda, according to former administration officials.
Some of the advisers to President
George W. Bush, including Vice President Dick Cheney, argued that a president had the power to use the military on domestic soil to sweep up the terrorism suspects, who came to be known as the Lackawanna Six, and declare them enemy combatants.
Mr. Bush ultimately decided against the proposal to use military force.
A decision to dispatch troops into the streets to make arrests has few precedents in American history, as both the Constitution and subsequent laws restrict the military from being used to conduct domestic raids and seize property.
The Fourth Amendment bans “unreasonable” searches and seizures without probable cause.
And the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 generally prohibits the military from acting in a law enforcement capacity.
In the discussions, Mr. Cheney and others cited an Oct. 23, 2001, memorandum from the Justice Department that, using a broad interpretation of presidential authority, argued that the domestic use of the military against Al Qaeda would be legal because it served a national security, rather than a law enforcement, purpose.
“The president has ample constitutional and statutory authority to deploy the military against international or foreign terrorists operating within the United States,” the memorandum said.
The memorandum — written by the lawyers
John C. Yoo and Robert J. Delahunty — was directed to Alberto R. Gonzales, then the White House counsel, who had asked the department about a president’s authority to use the military to combat terrorist activities in the United States.
The memorandum was declassified in March. But the White House debate about the Lackawanna group is the first evidence that top American officials, after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, actually considered using the document to justify deploying the military into an American town to make arrests.
Most former officials interviewed for this article spoke only on the condition of anonymity because the deliberations about the case involved classified information. They agreed to talk about the internal discussions only after the memorandum was released earlier this year.
New information has recently emerged about the deliberations and divisions in the administration over some of the most controversial policies after the Sept. 11 attacks, like the decision to use brutal
interrogation methods on Qaeda detainees.
Former officials in the administration said this debate was not as bitter as others during Mr. Bush’s first term. The discussions did not proceed far enough to put military units on alert.
Still, at least one high-level meeting was convened to debate the issue, at which several top Bush aides argued firmly against the proposal to use the military, advanced by Mr. Cheney, his legal adviser
David S. Addington and some senior Defense Department officials.Among those in opposition were Condoleezza Rice, then the national security adviser; John B. Bellinger III, the top lawyer at the National Security Council; Robert S. Mueller III, the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and Michael Chertoff, then the head of the Justice Department’s criminal division.
“Frankly, it was a bit of a turf war,” said one former senior administration official. “For a number of people, crossing the line of having intelligence or military activities inside the United States was not worth the risk.”
Mr. Bush ended up ordering the F.B.I. to make the arrests in Lackawanna, near Buffalo, where the agency had been monitoring a group of Yemeni Americans with suspected Qaeda ties. The five men arrested there in September 2002, and a sixth arrested nearly simultaneously in Bahrain, pleaded guilty to terrorism-related charges.
Scott L. Silliman, a
Duke University law professor specializing in national security law, said an American president had not deployed the active-duty military on domestic soil in a law enforcement capacity, without specific statutory authority, since the Civil War.
Senior military officials were never consulted, former officials said.
Richard B. Myers, a retired general who was chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said in a recent interview that he was unaware of the discussion.
Former officials said the 2002 debate arose partly from Justice Department concerns that there might not be enough evidence to arrest and successfully prosecute the suspects in Lackawanna. Mr. Cheney, the officials said, had argued that the administration would need a lower threshold of evidence to declare them enemy combatants and keep them in military custody.
Earlier that summer, the administration designated Jose Padilla an enemy combatant and sent him to a military brig in South Carolina. Mr. Padilla was arrested by civilian agencies on suspicion of plotting an attack using a radioactive bomb.
Those who advocated using the military to arrest the Lackawanna group had legal ammunition: the memorandum by Mr. Yoo and Mr. Delahunty.
The lawyers, in the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel, wrote that the Constitution, the courts and Congress had recognized a president’s authority “to take military actions, domestic as well as foreign, if he determines such actions to be necessary to respond to the terrorist attacks upon the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, and before.”
The document added that the neither the Posse Comitatus Act nor the Fourth Amendment tied a president’s hands.
Despite this guidance, some Bush aides bristled at the prospect of troops descending on an American suburb to arrest terrorism suspects.
“What would it look like to have the American military go into an American town and knock on people’s door?” said a second former official in the debate.
Chief James L. Michel of the Lackawanna police agreed. “If we had tanks rolling down the streets of our city,” Chief Michel said, “we would have had pandemonium down here.”
The Lackawanna case was the first after the Sept. 11 attacks in which American intelligence and law enforcement operatives believed they had dismantled a Qaeda cell in the United States.
In the months before the arrests, Mr. Bush was regularly briefed on the case by Mr. Mueller of the F.B.I. and
George J. Tenet, the director of central intelligence. The C.I.A.
had been tracking the overseas contacts of the Lackawanna group.
In a Wall Street Journal op-ed article in March, Mr. Yoo defended his 2001 memorandum and its reasoning, saying that after Sept. 11 the Bush administration faced the real prospect of Qaeda cells undertaking attacks on American soil. “The possibility of such attacks raised difficult, fundamental questions of constitutional law,” he wrote, “because they might require domestic military operations against an enemy for the first time since the Civil War.”
Eric Schmitt contributed reporting.
