That’s right, and it wasn’t only Katie Couric. For the past two years, when Obama was in campaign mode and after his Acorn- and foreign-money-fueled election, the entire leftwing media debased what once passed for legitimate journalism. With absolute consistency, they:
Failed utterly to vet an inexperienced, document-concealing candidate (we still haven’t seen Obama’s Illinois law license or an authentic birth certificate).
Failed to investigate the veracity of aggrandizing information spewed by Obama’s spin doctors and then repeated their spin (they still say, for instance, that he was a law professor, which he never was).
Failed to conceal their stunning lack of objectivity through the soft-ball questions they asked and, as Bernard Goldberg says, their “slobbering” obsequiousness.
Failed to distance themselves from the leftwing radicals who see racism where none exists—and even echoed their paranoia!
Failed to camouflage their personal biases both for Obama and against any of his critics or political opponents and competitors.
Failed to correct his virtual avalanche of lies, which John Ellis has catalogued in scandalous and chilling detail, saying that “the accumulated weight of Obama’s deceit is overwhelming…as a result, this nation is now in a position where it cannot believe a word that he says, and that amounts to an unprecedented crisis of confidence in the Presidency.”

As UK columnist and commentator Gerald Warner asks: “Why is it that the true view of Resident Barack Obama (you know, the illegal alien living over at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington) is openly expressed in the major media around the world, but nary a word of it is printed in any of the newspapers in the United States? Increasingly, the red god of Islamic communism in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama, is becoming more immune from scrutiny from the media out of fear of the race word. Whenever he is criticized for his un-American actions, his communist actions, or the out-and-out theft of the wealth of the American people, those who criticize him are accused of being racist. That’s a First Amendment travesty.”
That travesty is because most in the American media are liberals, including a majority of writers and TV and radio people who are not well paid but still thrilled to be working in the field. Overwhelmingly they take their marching orders from their bosses. Which leads to the obvious question: Why are so many media moguls liberals—you know, the people who flourish in this competitive world, thrive on free-market capitalism, and like their taxes low and their government non-intrusive. ¬†Perhaps it’s the megalomania that often comes with being a head honcho. Call it the oligarch mentality, liking the notion of the few at the top calling the shots for the many beneath them.
Or maybe it’s the oh-too-cozy relationship between news and entertainment, the latter traditionally steeped in bleeding-heart causes and “feelings” and the former both eager and happy to be included in their lavish self-congratulatory affairs, the latest of which—The SAG Awards—led the “news” and featured Hollywood liberals dripping with bling while thousands of Haitians lay buried or dead beneath tons of rubble.
It is this same media that foisted Obama onto the national stage by failing to do their jobs professionally and with integrity. Like a collective of Dr. Frankensteins, they created their own monster. It is relevant to mention here that after nearly 3,000 innocent Americans were murdered by Islamic terrorists on September 11, 2001, one of Obama’s closest friends and colleagues, Rev. Jeremiah Wright—who the media significantly chose not to expose for his rank anti-American, anti-white, and anti-Semitic ravings—whipped his congregation into a joyful frenzy when he said that the chickens (of revenge) had come home to roost (on American imperialism). Translation: Big bad America got what she deserved!
Whose Chickens are Roosting Now?
In a variation on that theme, on January 19 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts the chickens of fear and loathing of Big Government came to roost on the abomination known as Obamacare. What MA voters said to Obama and his radical conspirators in Congress was essentially Don’t Tread on Me!
Don’t ram your socialized medicine scheme down our throats.
Don’t tax me to perdition.
Don’t slash Medicare funding by a half-trillion dollars and then deny the existence of death panels.
Don’t threaten and bribe your way to votes in backroom deals for this unconstitutional bill and think we won’t notice.
Don’t sneak in a provision forcing taxpayers to pay for the in utero murder of babies.
And don’t think you’re entitled to the seat Sen. Ted Kennedy worked tirelessly for over nearly half a century on the basis of an anemic campaign and a canned, teleprompter-assisted rah-rah speech.
Good Ole Massachusetts—and Good Ole America—doesn’t deserve that!
And while you’re at it, Mr. Obama, move to the center or even the eroding support you still have will vanish!
Yes, eroding support, and I’m not even talking about the Democrats in office who just last week were still sipping Obama’s Marxist Kool Aid but are now doing Michael Jackson’s backward moonwalk. Rather I mean the media lackeys who licked Obama’s boots, created hagiographies, and threw their formidable reputations behind him, but are now fleeing what they clearly see as a sinking ship.
“He’s Done Everything Wrong,” wrote editor-in-chief of U.S. News & World Report and publisher of the New York Daily News Mort Zuckerman before he elaborated on Neil Cavuto. “I’m very disappointed. I voted for him. I supported him publicly and privately. In the campaign, he said he would change politics as usual. He did change them. It’s now worse than it was. I’ve now seen the kind of buying off of politicians that I’ve never seen before. It’s politically corrupt and it’s starting at the top. It’s revolting.”
And career-liberal Tina Brown, former editor of Vanity Fair and The New Yorker and now publisher of The Daily Beast, tried to cover her tracks by pretending she wasn’t Obama’s biggest fan.
Even New York Times drooler-in-chief Paul Krugman is bailing: “I’m pretty close to giving up on Mr. Obama, who seems determined to confirm every doubt I and others ever had about whether he was ready to fight for what his supporters believed in.”
But most of the liberal hacks on the alphabet networks and on CSPAN and CNN—not just Katie Couric but also Matt Lauer, Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Harry Smith, Anderson Cooper, Soledad O’Brien, Andrea Mitchell, Norah O’Donnell, the list is endless—and also political scholars like David Letterman and Joy Behar, are still shilling, using the same blame-the-losing-candidate rationalization that didn’t ring true even in the NJ and VA races for governor, where Republicans won handily in the “year of Obama.” Imagine that!
Heads Up Katie & Co.
While you were drooling over Obama and shamelessly failing to report objectively on his words and actions, the little people of Massachusetts and throughout the country were watching and listening to you. Carefully.
When Sarah Palin, a gorgeous articulate woman with a beautiful family, devoted husband, and stellar credentials appeared on the scene, you savaged her relentlessly and trotted out such shining examples of womanhood and moral rectitude as Sally Quinn, doyenne of the D.C. social scene and wife of former executive editor of The Washington Post, Ben Bradlee (with whom she had an affair while Bradlee was married) to tell the world that Sarah was “a “political gimmick [and] insulting to women, to the Republican Party, and to the country.”
The net result: Sarah became hugely popular, wrote a mega-bestselling book, landed a plum gig on the Fox News Channel, and is now considered one of the premier conservative leaders in America. The media, on the other hand, had plunging ratings and lost both viewers and advertisers.
When the leftist media slammed Republican Robert F. McDonnell in last November’s race for governor of Virginia, and praised the incumbent Democrat R. Creigh Deeds, McDonnell won. Similarly when the same media slammed Republican Chris Christie and even attacked his weight, and praised the incumbent New Jersey Democrat Jon Corzine, Christie won. And this past Tuesday, when the media praised the “rightful inheritor” to Ted Kennedy’s seat, Martha Coakley, and sneered condescendingly at Scott Brown and his trusty truck, Brown won. The net result: the so-called mainstream media lost even more viewers and this week the leftwing radio network Air America stopped its live broadcasting and announced it will file for bankruptcy. Starting last April and extending into the summer and beyond, the Tea Party movement and Town Hall meetings grew exponentially, with a rally in Washington, D.C. in September that nearly two-million people attended, according to National Park Service estimates. The media derided these impassioned grassroots efforts, hurling their typical personal invective at those who attended. The net result: a thundering victory for Senator-elect Scott Brown—even in Barney Frank’s and Ted Kennedy’s districts—as well as the death of healthcare legislation, and a thorough and unequivocal repudiation of Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and by association, their policies (both foreign and domestic, I believe) as well as their hate-America co-conspirators George Soros, et al. Right in there, of course, is the liberal media! See the pattern, Katie? Ignore it at risk of your own extinction.
Liberalism is Dead
Old-time liberals like HST, Adlai Stevenson, JFK, Scoop Jackson, LBJ and Hubert Humphrey didn’t hate America. They loved America and only argued over how best to serve her. But according to James Lewis:
“The name `liberalism` has now drifted so far from its moorings that it has turned into a lie. Anybody who uses `liberal` these days is trying to put one over on you. It’s like Florida swampland peddlers talking about their `beautiful lakeshore.` You can stop listening at that point, because nothing you’re going to hear is true. Liberalism used to mean something. Today it’s pure Florida swampland, complete with snapping alligators.”
“Even Massachusetts may be catching on that so-called liberals don’t deserve that name any more. Barney Frank is not a liberal, but a demagogue and corruptocrat with truly awesome, dictatorial arrogance. That is because he has a safe seat in Boston. Chris Dodd is not a liberal, but said to be one of the most corrupt members of the US Senate. Harry Reid is a demagogue and a Machiavellian. Nancy Pelosi is a Mafia moll. We should therefore stop associating the word `liberal` with such creatures. Liberalism is dead; anyone using that word is lying or living in the long-ago past. What we see now from the Democrats may be Applied Marxism, Hard Leftism, Gangster Leftism or maybe the Machine Politics of the Left. “
Lewis is right. The biased, slanted, leftwing media can no longer be called “liberal.” They have crossed the threshold into Hard Left territory and are destined—like the leftists still in office and facing reelection—to be rejected by real America-loving Americans!
Newt Gingrich has urged Mr. Obama to move to the center. “He needs to stop, rethink, recalibrate, and learn some painful lessons. He needs to accept that the country was not voting for a left-wing agenda in 2008.”
But Jack Kelly, a former Marine and Green Beret, and former deputy assistant secretary of the Air Force in the Reagan administration, is not sure how Obama will react to Brown’s victory in MA. “No president in the history of polling has tumbled so far in a single year from the lofty heights he enjoyed on the day of his inauguration. But as `change you can believe in` morphed into socialism you must pay for, the administration stalled out and tumbled earthward. We know little about how Mr. Obama responds to crisis, because before becoming president, all he had ever run was his mouth. But in times of stress, he seems to become more partisan, not less.”
Want proof? Two days after the MA vote, Obama attacked both the symbol and reality of America’s strength, the Wall St. banks that fuel our economy. In true totalitarian—and tone deaf—fashion, he demanded that Congress clamp down on the size of the banks and their investments.
The chairman of the National Black Republican Association, Frances Rice, clearly agrees Kelly. “How did Obama and the Democrats respond to the Massachusetts earth-shattering vote that reverberated around our nation?” she asks. “They resolved to double down and cram down ObamaCare, gambling that Americans love entitlements more than they love freedom. A lesson Democrats learned from black Americans who consistently vote for Democrats in exchange for government handouts, even though the Democrats’ socialist policies have turned black communities into economic and social cesspools.”
I agree with Rice. If you’ve ever been to the Bronx Zoo, you know that Eucalyptus-loving koala bears are never ever going to scale Mimosa or Maple trees. It’s not what that species does. It’s not in their DNA. Same with the leftists in this administration and same with the leftwing media that singlehandedly created its very own lame duck—an essentially impotent figurehead who has lost both credibility and the trust of the American people! In both cases, ideology trumps all, even if it leaves them—as it will—in the trash heap of history.
Chris Matthews Admits He Hearts Saul Alinksy

Ever since Obama’s installation into the White House , left wingers feel free to tout their radicalism. It’s as if they spent years trying to at least create the illusion of sanity and dropped all pretense the moment Obama was sworn in as Community Organizer in Chief.
Just five days after affirming on air that he is a liberal, MSNBC host Chris Matthews exclaimed that radical community organizer Saul Alinsky is one of his heroes.
Stated Matthews: “Well, to reach back to one of our heroes from the past, from the ‘60s, Saul Alinsky once said that even though both sides have flaws in their arguments and you can always find something nuanced about your own side you don’t like and it’s never perfect, you have to act in the end like there’s simple black and white clarity between your side and the other side or you don’t get anything done.
“’I always try to remind myself of Saul Alinsky when I get confused, ‘Matthews said on his ‘Hardball’ show, speaking to guest Sen. Bernie Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, on the topic of President Obama’s health care plan. “
All practicing Leftists have been influenced by Saul Alinsky, author of Rules for Radicals, the essential primer for all good America-hating radicals. Written by the great granddaddy of all community organizers, Alinsky’s book lays out the tactics to be employed in creating a revolution.
When I was growing up in Chicago in the 1960s, these folks were known as “paid agitators,” a far more accurate description of what they do. Community organizers were carpetbaggers who blew into town for the express purpose of whipping the locals into frenzy over some grievance, real or imagined. This type of “organizing” is not to be compared with legitimate, local, grassroots organizations that get together to put pressure on local officials to bring about a change for the better. Alinsky-style organizers are not concerned members of the community who pressure city hall into putting in a new stoplight. For the Alinskyite, the actual issue is of no consequence. The organizer doesn’t care about the community. The agenda is to gin up a revolt, which gives the organizer power. As Alinsky put it, “You want to cause fear, confusion, and retreat in the enemy, i.e. the Haves.” Remember Hoffer’s work on mass movements: the organizer’s task is to inject the society with an ailment and then offer the movement as the cure. “Agitate, aggravate, educate, then organize.” (Rules for Radicals)
As is always the case with socialism, Alinsky’s programs never succeeded. Barack Obama’s lack of success as a community organizer is what motivated him to pursue a law degree.
Alinsky’s favorite word? “Change.”
Alinsky’s favorite word? “Change.” Change to what⎯who knows? It doesn’t matter. Alinsky people don’t really bother themselves with the end game. They are preoccupied with agitating the population to manufacture crises, which allow them to seize power. Alinsky doesn’t really provide much guidance as to what to do after the revolution. “The organizer’s biggest job is to give the people the feeling they can do something.” “If the communists had been able to take over Europe and beyond, it would have been because of their knowledge of how to preach hope.” (
Saul Alinsky also subscribed to a style of ethics that has been described as “very fluid.” In other words, there is no right or wrong in any absolute sense. Marxists despise religion, the original source of morality; the Marxist has substituted the state for the church. The future president’s mentor didn’t believe integrity was an important quality, but creating the illusion of integrity is essential.
Does any of this hope-and-change verbiage sound a bit familiar? Yet again, we pull back the curtain only to find Obama’s lack of originality. Whip the people into a frenzy, create a crisis, then offer hope and change—that’s the blueprint.
Alinsky’s writings aren’t anchored in any core values or principles; Alinsky training is about agitating the masses and overthrowing the current order. Alinsky taught that all problems are caused by capitalism. We can see his little protégé currently doing his darnedest to dismantle our free market system at warp speed.
Senator Kennedy and His Legacy

The death of a famous person calls forth discussions over his legacy. One of the most famous persons to pass away during 2009 was Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy who died on August 25th.
Kennedy was called “the lion of the Senate” and was possibly the most influential member of that governing body. In fact, he had served there since 1962, which is quite a spell.
I have no intention of attempting to pass judgment on Senator Kennedy’s soul, since he is now in the hands of God, who has the final say in the matter. Nor will I deny that his family misses him.
Kennedy was involved in a lot of legislation, but where it really counted, the influence the senator wielded was too often destructive to our country, our constitution and our very identity as a nation.
Kennedy got his first start in politics as a member of the Kennedy clan, with which America has held a decades´ long fascination. Teddy outlived his three older brothers, Joe Jr. (who died in World War II) and John and Bobby (who were each assassinated).
Ted Kennedy’s chance to become president was probably dashed by the Chappaquiddick incident of 1969, in which he drove off into the water and left Mary Jo Kopechne to die in his car. Kennedy failed to call the police until the following morning, after her body had already been found. It appears the Mary Jo did not actually drown, but suffocated in an air bubble in the sunken car.
So how do Kennedy fans deal with Chappaquiddick? Adam Clymer, the senator’s biographer, had the gall to write that Kennedy’s “achievements as a senator have towered over his time, changing the lives of far more Americans than remember the name Mary Jo Kopechne.” And Melissa Lafsky wrote at the Huffington Post that Mary Jo “would have thought about arguably being a catalyst for the most successful Senate career in history – Who knows – maybe she’d felt it was worth it.” Of course, Mary Jo Kopechne never had any choice in the matter, did she?
Although Chappaquiddick probably prevented Kennedy from gaining the presidency, it sure didn’t end his political career. Teddy received a two-month jail sentence which was suspended, and went on 15 months later to be re-elected to the U.S. Senate by the people of Massachusetts. Go figure. Of course Kennedy used his long career to make the U.S. a more socialist country.
Socialized medicine was a long-time dream of Kennedy, for which he worked for years. It looks like that under President Obama,the Kennedy dream may come to fruition.
Back in 1986, President Ronald Reagan nominated Robert Bork to the U.S. Supreme Court. Bork was fiercely opposed by Kennedy. Speaking in the Senate, Teddy launched into a rhetorical attack on Bork, proclaiming that “Robert Bork’s America is a land in which women would be forced into back-alley abortions, blacks would sit down at segregated lunch counters, rogue police could break down citizens’ doors in midnight raids, schoolchildren could not be taught about evolution.” The Bork nomination was scuttled, thanks in large part to Senator Kennedy.
Nor was the “lion of the Senate” averse to dealing with America’s archenemy of the time, for partisan political advantage. In 1983, Kennedy communicated with Soviet leader Andropov, offering to help Andropov deal with Reagan in exchange the Andropov’s help in beating Reagan in the 1984 presidential election.
And way back in 1965, near the beginning of his career, Kennedy supported and spoke for the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965.
Debating on the Senate floor in favor of the Act, Kennedy confidently assured the Senate and ultimately the American people that,
“First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually….Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset….[the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area..”
The rest, as they say, is history. The 1965 Act passed, and both legal and illegal immigration have multiplied our population . These changes are drastically transforming the American ethnic mix. English-speaking whites are well on their way to becoming a minority. This transformation, which the American people never voted for and which Kennedy assured us wouldn’t happen, is a major factor in the leftward drift of our nation.
The recent election of Barack Obama, a radical socialist bent on politically transforming our country, was made possible in great measure by the ethnic transformation of recent decades.
So yes, Senator Kennedy was a influential senator, maybe the most influential senator of our time. Kennedy used his great influence to help transform the United States into a multicultural socialist state. Unless enough Americans wake up in time to turn things around, future U.S. history books (most of which will probably be in Spanish) ought to give Senator Kennedy a lot of credit.
The Mass Media as Human Pesticide

In the documentary, "Demographic Bomb," the Director of the UN Population Division, Hania Zlotnick admits the UN got women in developing countries to sterilize themselves by having TV stars do it in soap operas.
In developed countries, the Illuminati bankers have achieved the same goal in similar fashion by pushing promiscuity and homosexuality in the mass media.
In a famous 1969 memo, Rockefeller-sponsored Planned Parenthood VP Frederick Jaffe proposed the following measures to reduce U.S. fertility: (a) encourage increased homosexuality,(b) fertility control agents in water supply, (c) encourage women to work, (d) abortion and sterilization on demand, and (e) make contraception truly available and accessible to all.
The mass media is the mental "water supply." It defines "norms" (acceptable behavior) and therefore reshapes behavior. You can't watch television without seeing aggressive career women showing up men and engaging in promiscuous sex, often with each other. Homosexuality is treated as normal, the "cool" and "edgy" thing. The Illuminati have moved the goalposts, and created a new bogus reality. They have decreased the birth rate in the United States as surely as in Bangladesh.
An illustration of how tightly controlled the TV plot-lines are: This week, 90 television shows are promoting "volunteerism" in their stories. They don't tell you what else they have promoting over the years, but it's plain to see: racism, i.e. the disappearance of race through interracial marriages; disappearance of religion and family (feminism); and the aforementioned promiscuity and homosexuality. This agenda is mirrored in the school system.
Psychological Sterilization
A 2007 Book "Unhooked" by Laura Stepp documents how young women have been re-engineered dysfunctional. They seek love by giving sex unconditionally which doesn't work. (In the past, they demanded love/ marriage first as the criterion for sex. Thus a proper foundation was created for family.) Stepp interviewed hundreds of young women and men, and her findings were confirmed by readers at
"This generation is confusing sex with love. And hooking up with random partners without any interest in long-term relationships seems to be the norm... It sounds like these young women give permission to be used by men without getting anything in return."
One girl said "Love is an old person's emotion." Two out of every three young men said it was better to get married than go through life single, but fewer than half the young women felt that way.
Another reader commented: "most women are totally UNPREPARED and shocked when they do meet someone who shows chivalry and is old fashioned in their values and wants to actually get to know them. It is almost always assumed that to want to know someone is to "tie them down" and prevent them from being emotionally free from you at any time."
The younger generation has been conditioned to behave like homosexuals, who confuse sex with love: "The pressure is to BE overtly sexual and treat men disposably while at the same time really desiring a deeper emotional connection."
A mother of three sons writes: " Young MEN need to be protected from these young females! To be "used" as nothing more than a tool for someone else's sexual gratification is deeply damaging to one's self esteem irrespective of gender. I feel deep compassion for any female "hooking up" because it's clear they are engaged in self-destructive behavior with long-term, perhaps lifelong, consequences to their self esteem and sense of self worth."
Obviously a woman who consecrates herself for husband and children is more likely to have a successful marriage and family than one who has dozens of lovers. A nation concerned with its own survival would not turn women into sluts. More than anything, this proves that the world has been subverted by an alien Satanic cult, Illuminati bankers who control government, education and media.
Company Town
The world is a two-bit company town. The London-based central bankers are the company. They will control the world through a Communist style world government.
They are re-engineering the human race to accept servitude. This requires that people are dehumanized. No longer will we gain meaning, power and identity from our family roles, race, religion or nation.
 "We will undermine all collective forces but our own," says their manifesto, "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion."
The foundations of Western civilization are being destroyed and a "New World Order" created. A new human being is being shaped by the mass media. S/he is a programmable drone, devoted to work, consumption, sex, trivia, toys and thrills. Political debate will be restricted to issues like garbage pickup.
The Illuminati bankers used promiscuity ("sexual liberation") to undermine the family in the West. They are using promiscuity (now "female liberation") to destroy the last remaining redoubt of faith in God-- Islam. Here's an example of the Marxist propaganda they aim at Muslims.
Ultimately they redefine reality and control us through our minds. When I went to university in 1970, a popular text was "The Social Construction of Reality." As the title suggests, the book shows how social norms define reality. In other words, if norms are changed, reality is changed. Naturally, the temptation of oligarchs is to redefine reality in a way that makes the human race dysfunctional and servile, (e.g. infertile, at war.)
A true civilization adopts norms that reflect the natural order and spiritual ideals inherent in the universe. These norms are conducive to happiness, health and spiritual evolution.
But they are not in the interest of the Illuminati bankers who own more than 50% of the world's wealth. They must keep us dysfunctional, divided and chasing chimeras. Black is white and vice-versa. Already political truth is defined in terms of "delusion" and "insanity." In New Zealand, Clare Swinny spent eleven days in a mental ward for saying that 9-11 was an inside job.
Increasingly, social reality ("sanity") is defined by conformity to Illuminati diktat. Many people in the "Patriot movement" are already on the margins of society. They are partially "insane." That's why they can comprehend what is happening and resist.
We haven't been chipped yet but certainly we have been programmed by education, so-called culture, and the mass media. The problem is that now these are in the hands of the Illuminati who are determined to disinherit us. Increasingly, their toxic "reality" (i.e. collective insanity) is not conducive to human life, let alone health and happiness.

What is the world coming to? A high school football coach is on trial for killing one of his players.
At least, that’s what a prosecutor is arguing in Kentucky, where a jury will decide the fate of former coach Jason Stinson.
Coach Stinson had enough of the kids goofing off one day. So after a long, two-hour practice, he told the players to start running wind-sprints until someone quit. Two players eventually did quit … five got sick … and one collapsed.
The one who dropped unconscious was offensive lineman Max Gilpin, who died three days later in the hospital.
It’s very unusual for this type of death to make the news. Sure the media covered the death of Korey Stringer, one of the Minnesota Viking’s top players in 2001, when he died of heat stroke at practice one day. But the media only made a big news story of Stringer’s death because he was a celebrity.
It’s very rare to see coverage of these kinds of deaths, even though -- and for this you have to be sitting down -- more high school kids die playing football than get killed by gunfire on campus!
That’s right. Despite what media coverage might seem to indicate, there are more deaths related to high school football than guns. Over a recent three year period, more football players died from hits to the head, heat stroke, etc. (32), as compared with students who were murdered by firearms on campus (29) during that same time period.
Most people would never realize this because more attention is given to gun deaths in the mainstream media. Never mind the fact that guns are used 50-80 times more often to save life than to take life. And never mind that every day, Americans use guns 4,000-7,000 times in self-defense.
Guns have even been used to save lives on campuses around the country:
* In 1997, Assistant Principal Joel Myrick saved the lives of countless students when he used his own gun to stop a student from continuing his deadly rampage at a Mississippi high school.
* A year later, James Strand used his shotgun to disarm a gunman at a school dance in Edinboro, Pennsylvania -- holding the shooter until the police arrived.
* In 2002, two law school students at the Appalachian School of Law in Virginia used their own personal guns to stop Peter Odighizuwa’s rampage. The students held the shooter until the police arrived.
The stories of self-defense are endless -- and they’re not just confined to schools. Just months after the Virginia Tech shooting, Jeanne Assam used her concealed firearm to save hundreds of lives at a Colorado church. She shot a gunman who was armed with hundreds of rounds of ammunition and, thus, prevented what could have potentially become one of the greatest massacres on U.S. soil.
There has never been a documented case of a football saving people’s lives. And yet, when you look at the statistics, guns are actually safer than pigskins on high school campuses!
So what are we to make of all this? There are already rules in place to limit football practice during excessively hot days since, by far, the leading killer of high school football players is heat stroke. But should more be done?
Should we institute background checks before the purchase of every football or entirely ban the private sale of these pigskins? Should we impose an age limit for spectators wishing to attend a football game or limit the advertisements for these gladiator forums?
Of course not. And yet, these are the very kinds of calls that we hear every time there is a school shooting.
There is clearly a double standard when it comes to this kind of reporting. One could only hope that the media would now start covering football-related deaths -- which occur more frequently -- with the same tenacity that they cover gun-related deaths.
But don’t count on it.

It was almost nauseating to watch the media fawning over Ted Kennedy’s corpse as though he were the last brother of King Arthur, and his passing was signaling the end of a real place called Camelot. In fact, there’s an argument to be made that Chris Matthews and company actually believe in that mythical kingdom.
Fair and balanced Fox News Channel was as carried away as the others, just as they were — unfortunately — with the death of Michael Jackson a few weeks ago. (Whatever would the media have done if Teddy and Michael had passed at the same time? Poor Farah Fawcett would have merited nary a mention.)
Even one of my formerly favorite columnists, Cal Thomas, had glowing, gooey things to say about his “old friend Ted Kennedy,” the most laughable of which was that Kennedy never personalized his politics. Tell that to Robert Bork. Remember Kennedy’s ridiculous speech on the floor of the United States Senate, wherein he hyperventilated that “Robert Bork’s America is one in which women will be forced into back-alley abortions and blacks will be sitting at segregated lunch counters”?
It goes without saying that for his family and others who loved him, the death of Ted Kennedy is a personal loss. He was the last of a line of brothers who were raised to wealth and power. His father, a Nazi sympathizer, was a bootlegger and adulterer who set an example of infidelity, disloyalty and abuse of power for his four sons. Three of those sons had their lives cut short by violent means — one in war and two at the hands of assassins. Only Teddy, the baby of the brothers and of the family, went on to live a long life.
But what we have witnessed in his passing is the near-deification of a man merely because he came from a rich, powerful family, because he lived a long time and because he managed to bamboozle his gullible state into re-electing him simply because his name was Kennedy. What has been sorely missing in all this is a sense of perspective. This was more than just a flawed man. This was a man who cheated, lied and undermined his family, his friends, even his own country.
Perhaps Ted Kennedy’s most contemptible moment — many consider it treasonous — came in 1983. President Ronald Reagan was in the process of bringing the Soviet Union to its knees. In one of the hotter moments of the Cold War, Kennedy sent word to Soviet Premier Yuri Andropov through an old friend and former senator offering Kennedy’s help in undermining the Reagan administration in its dealings with its old arch enemy in exchange for Andropov’s help in defeating Reagan in the 1984 presidential election. Think of that. A United States Senator offers to help our sworn enemy in exchange for political propaganda to win an American election.
This country is not better off because Edward Moore Kennedy sat in the United States Senate for 46 years. He was unqualified when he was first elected. He disgraced himself, his family and our nation throughout his long, tedious career. But the event for which Ted Kennedy will be remembered by most Americans — and by historians, if they are honest — is Chappaquiddick. Forty years ago this summer, 28-year-old Mary Jo Kopechne died in the drunken senator’s Oldsmobile when he drove off a bridge and left her to drown.
You or I would have gone to prison for the negligence he displayed that night. Kennedy went on to become “the lion of the senate.” He lived a life of power and luxury, and was even arrogant enough in 1980 to think this country would elect him president.
Ted Kennedy served a very long time in the U.S. Senate, but let us not confuse longevity with statesmanship. He died a death none of us would wish on anyone — a brain tumor at age 77 — but I’m guessing Mary Jo Kopechne would have preferred to die at age 77 of almost anything.

Now that all the lying and hyperbole over the greatness of Senator Ted Kennedy have subsided, it is time to turn off the BS machine and resume the relentless search for truth.
During his life, the mainstream media crowned Teddy Kennedy as a White Prince in shining armor when it came to issues important to women. He was the Liberator, the Advocate, the Defender, and a father figure to tens of millions of confused females who bought into liberal misinformation.
In fact, Kennedy was a flaming hypocrite.
For example, four years ago, the favorite son of bartenders all across Washington, D C., attempted to paint Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito as a bigoted racist, owing to the nominee’s membership in a conservative alumni group at Princeton.
Predictably, Kennedy’s witch-hunt for intolerance came up empty. Glory be to God, however, because the ruse actually boomeranged on Kennedy who, it turns out, had diversity skeletons stinking up his own closet.
Indeed, the leftist champion of female everything was a member of Owls, an intolerant All Boys club at Harvard University that did not admit women.
Why? Simply because they were women!
As it turns out, all those fire and brimstone sermons from Kennedy about equality and tolerance were nothing more than alcohol-blasted hot air from a male chauvinist hypocrite.
In the end, though, Kennedy tried to do the right thing.
He quit Owls, blamed campus Republicans for the misogynist enterprise, and sent $5.00 to the Mary Jo Kopechne memorial fund.
The Real Teddy Kennedy: Deadly Legacy for America

Teddy Kennedy died last week, but his history grows more deadly for future Americans.
Instead of a rich legacy bequeathed upon the United States by forever U.S. Senator Teddy Kennedy, the oft-intoxicated, blubbery fourth brother of the Kennedy clan—four decades ago--drunkenly drove over a bridge that caused the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, left the scene and lied about what happened.
The reality behind the façade of Edward Kennedy:
1. He was caught cheating at Harvard when he attended it. He was expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a classmate to cheat for him.
2. While attending law school at the University of Virginia, he was cited for reckless driving four times, including once when he was clocked driving 90 miles per hour in a residential neighborhood with his headlights off after dark. His Virginia driver's license was never revoked.
3. On July 19, 1969, Kennedy attended a party on Chappaquiddick Island in Massachusetts. At about 11:00 PM, he borrowed his chauffeur's' keys to his Oldsmobile limousine and offered to give a ride home to Mary Jo Kopechne, a campaign worker. Leaving the island via an unlit bridge with no guard rail, Kennedy steered the car off the bridge, flipped, and dropped into Poucha Pond. He swam to shore and walked back to the party passing several Houses and a fire station. Two friends then returned with him to the scene of the accident. According to their later testimony, they told him what he already knew - that he was required by law to immediately report the accident to the authorities. Instead Kennedy made his way to his hotel, called his lawyer, and went to sleep. Kennedy called the police the next morning and by then the wreck had already been discovered. Before dying, Kopechne had scratched at the upholstered floor above her head in the upside-down car. The Kennedy family began "calling in favors", ensuring that any inquiry would be contained. Her corpse was whisked out-of- state to her family before an autopsy could be conducted. Further details are uncertain, but after the accident Kennedy says he repeatedly dove under the water trying to rescue Kopechne and he didn't call police because he was in a state of shock. Since the accident Kennedy's "political enemies" have referred to him as the distinguished Senator from Chappaquiddick. He pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, and was given a suspended two month sentence. Kopechne's family received a small payout from the Kennedy's insurance policy and never sued.
4. Only Kennedy’s first wife Joan knows of the purported sexual adventures of her husband. Colleagues referred to his exploits, “A blonde in every pond.”
But his worst and most destructive legacy for the United States stems from his authorship of the 1965 “Immigration Reform Act” that added the bulk of our additional 100 million people into America within 40 years. It jumped legal immigration from 170,000 annually to 1.1 million annually. Added to that disastrous environmental legacy, his actions provoked a complete ethnic change of our stable society into a fractured civilization. How? He provided for entrance of immigrants from cultures totally incompatible with U.S. culture. He downgraded citizenship by not enforcing our laws or maintaining educational standards.

As those immigrants poured into this country, he facilitated and languished as millions of illegal aliens marched across our borders to wreak havoc on our schools, communities, jobs, hospitals, language and prisons. Over 20,000 members of MS-13 gangs distribute $100 billion in drugs yearly. We pay for 400,000 babies born to illegal alien mothers annually. We suffer 32 million Americans subsisting on food stamps because illegals downgrade wages and take jobs from our working poor.
"First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same... Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset... Contrary to the charges in some quarters, [the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia,” said Kennedy.
Within 40 years of that fateful bill, via relentless immigration, America added 100 million people which created horrific environmental, sociological and quality of life degradation.
Kennedy single handedly planted the seeds for the destruction of our country per the words of President Teddy Roosevelt, “The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, or preventing all possibility of its continuing as a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities.”
How did Kennedy answer that crisis of unrelenting illegal border crossing? He proposed, wrote and encouraged Ronald Reagan to sign the 1986 Immigration Amnesty that allowed what he said were only 1.3 million illegals. The true number of illegal aliens that gained instant citizenship became 4.3 million.
Later, Reagan said signing that amnesty was the worse mistake of his presidency.
Last June, 2007, as another 20 million illegal aliens broke over U.S. borders since 1986, Kennedy tried to give another amnesty by forcing S.B. 1639 into law with his bluster and pompous bellowing. He voted to double legal immigration to 2.2 million annually! Kennedy remains responsible for our $346 billion annual costs paying for illegal aliens!
In Dr. Otis Graham’s “Unguarded Gates: A History of America’s Immigration Crisis”, he writes, “Most Western elites continue urging the wealthy West not to stem the migrant tide, but to absorb our global brothers and sisters until their horrid ordeal has been endured and shared by all--ten billion humans packed onto an ecologically devastated planet.”
Kennedy voted for funding of the fraudulent Iraq War that killed 4,500 American soldiers and wounded 35,000 to date. He voted against making English our national language which ensures further Balkanization of our nation via linguistic chaos. When a nation cannot speak to itself, it becomes fractured and separated.
While he battled with brain cancer, we battle for our nation’s life. While he sailed his boat around Martha’s Vineyard, we picked up millions of pieces of trash on our borders from invading illegal alien hordes that he encouraged. While he tipped yet another glass of wine, we struggled to maintain our schools, communities, hospitals and prisons from this illegal invasion. While he sat on his barnyard-wide rear-end for 40 years in the Senate creating the problems that now destroy our nation, we watched the American Dream turn into a nightmare.
Contrary to the media across the nation fawning over the senator, Ted Kennedy may be likened to Nero of Rome who fiddled while it burned. Kennedy drank while we fought for our nation’s survival. Kennedy ate at the finest tables while we struggled with his voting for H-1B and H-2B visas that displaced millions of American workers. Kennedy sailed his boat while our nation sank into consequences of a dysfunctional and unsustainable nation.
Because of Kennedy, our successful culture finds itself turning into a foreign culture that failed, i.e., Mexico. The March PEW report shows Mexicans in America becoming the new dominate majority by 2042 at 53 percent.
In other words, rather than serving America and our future, Senator Ted Kennedy destroyed our America just as quickly as he took Mary Jo Kopechne’s life on a drunken night somewhere back in the 60s. As she fought for her life in that car as the waters rose above her, he escaped.
While we struggle nostril-deep in the nightmare waters of immigration swirling around us, we may well drown, too!
Once again, Teddy Kennedy escaped via death while we struggle for our nation’s life.

How to Undermine the Economy

If you wanted to come up with a plan to undermine the economy of the most prosperous and successful nation on earth, how would you go about it?
The first thing you'd have to do would be to debase the underlying value system that provides the foundation for prosperity. That is, the value system to which the founders of this nation, and many generations of immigrants who came here seeking opportunity, subscribed. The core of that value system is the belief that you do not deserve anything you have not earned.
The first step would be to condition the populace to believe that prosperity is bad, that anybody who makes more than a modest income must be evil (or at least dishonest), and that nobody really deserves to be rich, no matter how much they contribute to the economy or how many opportunities they create for others. The rich, by definition, are always a minority, since the term itself implies someone who has substantially greater wealth than the average person. All that's usually needed to turn the many against the few is a sense of grievance.
Fostering a sense of grievance can be accomplished by promoting the notion that everybody, by virtue of their very existence, is entitled to basic sustenance, such as healthcare, food, shelter, etc.
This attitude can be cultivated by establishing a system of bureaucracies (paid for almost entirely by the rich) that provide free handouts to everybody else, while nurturing a sense of perpetual resentment among the people receiving the handouts toward those who provide the wherewithal to satisfy their ever-increasing expectations.
The many are not generally aware that nearly 90% of the income taxes that sustain our government, and all the services "it" provides, are collected from the top 20% of income earners. And, if the many were aware of that, do you think they'd feel like saying "Thank you"? Not likely.
Because they've been conditioned to believe that the rich don't deserve their wealth, and that they, the beneficiaries of all those taxes paid by the rich, deserve that money more than the people who earned it. What did the beneficiaries do to deserve it? Nothing. But they exist, and therefore they're entitled to things they cannot afford, so the money should be taken from those who can afford it and redistributed to them.
Having undermined the cultural values that provide the basis for a prosperous economy, by fostering a culture of dependency on ever-expanding government services, you now have popular support for the next step, which is to penalize production. You do that by regulating industries to the point where the cost of doing business is too great to justify the returns, forcing businesses to either downsize, go bankrupt, or relocate offshore.
That increases unemployment, creating an even greater dependency on government services. At the same time, it reduces production so there's less wealth to tax, and less money coming into the system to support the ever-increasing demands.
At that point, you've got a self-perpetuating cycle, with ever-increasing demands on the system and ever-diminishing resources from which to draw to provide for them. To add fuel to the firestorm, you can use the increasing demands as an excuse to raise taxes on the remaining top producers even more, driving more employers out of business or offshore, creating an even larger non-productive class, and further accelerating the drain on the system...
But why stop there? At this point, the economy is so unstable, it can be toppled with ease. To finish it off in style, all that's required is to spend like a drunken sailor. Get the nation so far in debt to hostile foreign powers that they won't accept our IOUs any more. Print up fiat money and dilute our currency to the point that the whole world loses confidence in it and the G20 proposes a new international monetary standard. Then distract the citizens by holding contests in Congress to see who can spend money the fastest, and call it a "stimulus plan."
At that point, the death spiral reaches critical mass. That's were we are today. How did we get to this point? Well, it could just be a combination of entropy, ignorance, and well-intentioned idiots. Or it could be that there are those who actively seek to undermine our economy to bring our nation to its knees. For what purpose? That depends on who's pulling the strings. I concede that this begins to sound a little paranoid from someone who usually dismisses conspiracy theories.
On the other hand, it's hard to imagine that anyone, especially the leaders of our nation, are stupid enough not to realize they're doing the exact things required to accelerate the collapse of our already destabilized economy. And, if they're not stupid, then they must have a reason for what they're doing.
The Hamburg Declaration: Another 'Big Brother' to the Internet

It appears that everyone is feeling the effects of the economy even news publishers. With the decrease of advertising dollars, the news industry needs to find ways to survive. The way in which these publishers feel they need to survive is by blaming the Internet for their troubles. A total of 166 European publishers as members of the European Publishers Council (EPC) have recently signed the “Hamburg Declaration to Protect Intellectual Property Rights” in an attempt to enforce legislation that would somehow require readers to ‘pay’ for their news.
The Hamburg Declaration begins by saying: “The Internet offers immense opportunities to professional journalism – but only if the basis for profitability remains secure throughout the digital channels of distribution. This is currently not the case.” My interpretation of this is that to be a professional journalist you have to be a profit maker. Although I guess this would make sense, literarily, the declaration goes on to say that using works of others [authors, publishers, and broadcasters] without paying for it “threatens the production of high-quality content and the existence of independent journalism.” I don’t know about you, but I love reading the articles from and believe they are of very ‘high-quality content’ and from multiple ‘independent’ journalists. There is no profit motive for these writers; they love to write and to get information out in the public domain. Isn’t this what ‘true’ journalism is all about? Get the truth out?
The declaration continues with “universal access to websites does not necessarily mean access at no cost. We disagree with those who maintain that freedom of information is only established when everything is available at no cost.” I don’t know about you, but I do pay a substantial monthly fee to have access to the Internet and as such, I expect to visit any website I want. Are there sites out there that charge a membership fee to join? Absolutely, but I usually don’t bother since there is another site out there that may offer the same information that I’m looking for, but for ‘free’ or with minimal advertising. And as far as freedom of information is concerned, more times than not, the information that comes to us free of charge are often times better than the information that we may pay for. Besides, those individuals that have the money can influence what is said or how something is presented to other individuals. How many times or examples can I site on how our news media cover (or doesn’t cover) a certain story because of the advertising dollars that come in to the news station. We couldn’t possibly want to run a story that is negative against one of our sponsors just to get the ‘facts’ out about that particular story.
“Universal access to our services should be available, but going forward we no longer wish to be forced to give away property without having granted permission.” My response to this is who is forcing you to do anything. If you put a news story out and other individuals find it interesting enough to ‘share’ that information, why wouldn’t you, as a professional journalist, want that information to get out. Isn’t that why you put it out there in the first place? And if that is not the case, then don’t write about it. No one is ‘forcing’ you to write.
The declaration further pleads to governments in an attempt to regulate or ‘protect’ the intellectual property rights of authors, publishers, and broadcasters on the Internet. “There should be no parts of the Internet where laws do not apply.” First off, the Internet was developed and sponsored by the tax paying individuals of the United States, not Europeans. Yes, they may be benefiting from our creation, but in no way should they assume to have control of the Internet or the right to dictate how it should be used. No country should assume such arrogance since the Internet is bigger than any one country. Are there certain regulations already in place on the Internet? Absolutely; however, it is still one of the last realms of ‘real freedom’ by which individuals can share and express their ideas with the rest of the world.
The declaration ends by saying: “ultimately, the fundamental principle that no democracy can thrive without independent journalism must also apply to the World Wide Web.” Aren’t we being a little hypocritical here? We want to have independent journalism, but at a price. As I mentioned earlier, how can someone really be independent if what they say is going to hurt the sponsor that provides them their livelihood. It is like the old saying, “don’t bite the hand that feeds you,” right? You can never have real independent journalism if it is attached to monetary strings. I hate to further disagree, but democracy will thrive when information is ‘freely’ distributed to everyone that wants to read it.
Of course, I’m not saying that the information should be ‘stolen’ or copyrights violated, but we already have laws to protect against this. (Hmm, I have a thought. Maybe these publishers need to concentrate more on what they are 'selling' and give their customers ‘really’ what they want.) Why don’t these ‘professional journalists’ use their collective ‘artistic’ juices and come up with some new, innovative ways to make a profit from the Internet instead of crying to the government to regulate it more.

Fox News Lies About Cronkite

I have not found one person in the major media—and that includes on the “conservative” Fox News Channel—who has dared to tell the ugly truth about Walter Cronkite’s disastrous record in favor of defeat in Vietnam, unilateral disarmament in the face of the Soviet threat, and one-world government. His press has been as good as that of Barack Obama.
However, many people are aware of Cronkite’s real record, primarily because of the work of AIM founder and long-time AIM Report editor Reed Irvine. Here are just a few of the messages I received in response to my column, “The Terrible Truth About Walter Cronkite,” which was picked up by many different outlets. It examined how Irvine had exposed Cronkite’s atrocious record on the Vietnam War and national defense issues, as well as his disingenuous explanations concerning a Soviet magazine interview in which Cronkite pooh-poohed the Soviet threat:
• I enjoyed reading your article: “The Terrible Truth about Walter Cronkite” on FSM [Family Security Matters]. I’m sure that you will be despised and criticized in many circles for writing it, but you should receive only kudos and thanks for telling the truth, and for not being afraid to point out that the “Emperor” was indeed, naked, and for having the courage to show another side (still unknown to many people) of the man that they respected, trusted and adored.
• I despised the man. I place most of the blame for the loss in Vietnam on his shoulders. Thanks for telling it like it is.
• Finally, an article on Cronkite that mirrors my views. The sycophantic ramblings I have been hearing, and yes, Fox has been as sickening as the rest.
• The bottom line is that the man the liberal media told us was “the most trusted voice in America” turned out to be a man that was deceitful and did not deserve any of our trust, ever. And he ended up getting Americans killed by his actions and led the world to the killing fields in Asia. Not surprisingly, President Obama joined the media chorus in praise of Cronkite. “For decades,” he said in a statement, “Walter Cronkite was the most trusted voice in America. His rich baritone reached millions of living rooms every night, and in an industry of icons, Walter set the standard by which all others have been judged. He was there through wars and riots, marches and milestones, calmly telling us what we needed to know. And through it all, he never lost the integrity he gained growing up in the heartland. But Walter was always more than just an anchor. He was someone we could trust to guide us through the most important issues of the day; a voice of certainty in an uncertain world. He was family. He invited us to believe in him, and he never let us down. This country has lost an icon and a dear friend, and he will be truly missed.”
There are several deceptions in this statement, including that Cronkite “set the standard,” he “never lost” his integrity, was “someone we could trust,” and “never let us down.”
Fox News star Bill O’Reilly, who once worked for CBS News, went beyond Obama’s deceptions, however, by declaring in his “Talking Points Memo” that Cronkite “did the country a great service by telling the truth about Vietnam, as well as other major stories.”
In fact, Cronkite falsely reported the Tet military offensive in the Vietnam War as an enemy victory. This was a turning point in the war. The false reporting by Cronkite and others meant that 58,000 Americans ultimately died in vain to stop the communist assault on South Vietnam.
In addition to this atrocity, Cronkite and his CBS News team deliberately and savagely attacked President Reagan’s military build-up after the disastrous Jimmy Carter years.
Appearing on the O’Reilly Factor, after the comment about Cronkite “telling the truth” about Vietnam, former CBS News employee Bernard Goldberg declared that O’Reilly’s commentary was a “very, very sharp analysis, Bill, and I wouldn’t say that if I didn’t believe it.” How’s that for brown-nosing?
Ignoring the facts, including Dr. Ernest Lefever’s monumental study on how CBS News slanted its broadcasts on national defense, Goldberg, who worked with Cronkite, declared that the late CBS Evening News anchorman did not “sprinkle” his left-wing views into his newscasts. On his website, Goldberg went further in the tank, declaring that “after he left CBS Cronkite was playing deep left field. Yet virtually none of the leftie stuff made it on the air.”
The comment about “deep left field’ was apparently a reference to Cronkite’s advocacy of world government. But nobody wanted to discuss that, either.
Since leaving CBS, Goldberg has made a good living by appearing as a critic of liberal bias in the news and writing some good books on the subject. Now the official Fox News media critic, one of these books described Goldberg as a “CBS insider.” But the “insider” won’t tell the truth about Cronkite’s bias, which was reflected in his newscasts and led to the U.S. military defeat in Vietnam.

It is wrong to speak ill of the dead. On the other hand, it is an insult to the intelligence of the American people to pretend that Walter Cronkite was the “voice of God” and “universally credible,” as Mara Liasson put it on Fox News Sunday. The terrible truth is that Walter Cronkite symbolized liberal media bias and used that bias with disastrous consequences for our nation and the world. His latest cause was world government and the destruction of American sovereignty.
We found out after his retirement that he was not only a liberal, which was evident from his broadcasts, but a one-worlder. In appearances before the World Federalist Association, which favors world government financed by global taxes, he called for the U.S. to renounce “some of its sovereignty” and pass a series of United Nations treaties—many of which are now being pushed in the Senate by President Barack Obama. Cronkite called for an “international Liberty Bell.”
He called for Senate ratification of the Treaty to Ban Land Mines, the Law of the Sea Treaty, the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, the Convention to Eliminate All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Most important, he said, we should sign and ratify the Treaty for a Permanent International Criminal Court, which would violate U.S. constitutional rights by enabling foreign judges to prosecute American citizens and imprison them in foreign jails. Cronkite was determined to use the U.N. and its treaties to inhibit the ability of the U.S. to act in its own national security interests.
One of Cronkite’s appearances, where he accepted a “Global Governance” award, is available on video, at an event which featured the wife of then-U.N. boss Kofi Annan and a video from then-First Lady Hillary Clinton. The same “Global Governance” award had also been given to former Time magazine columnist Strobe Talbott, another advocate of world government, later a top State Department official in the Clinton Administration and subsequently named as a “special contact” of the Russian intelligence service by a Russian spy. Talbott now runs the liberal Brookings Institution.
In 1988, seven years after his retirement as anchorman of the CBS Evening News, Cronkite addressed a left-wing People for the American Way conference and denounced President Reagan for the “unilateral” military actions in Grenada, when the U.S. military evicted a communist gang, and Libya, when Reagan ordered a military strike in retaliation for the acts of terrorism against Americans. Cronkite despised Reagan’s peace-through-strength policies and said that the smartest president he ever met was Jimmy Carter.
Later, Cronkite denounced Operation Iraqi Freedom and attacked the Bush administration for its “arrogance.”
His role in the Vietnam defeat is being reported as if it were a highlight of his career. Yet, his misreporting helped create the conditions for a premature U.S. military withdrawal, leading to the loss of the lives of 58,000 Americans in vain, not to mention the millions of additional deaths caused in Vietnam and Cambodia by the Communists. Cronkite’s public verdict that the 1968 Tet offensive was a “defeat” for the U.S. is widely seen as a turning point in American support for the war. Cronkite falsely claimed that the Vietcong had held the American embassy for six hours and that the offensive “went on for two months.” The facts show that Tet was actually a major defeat for the communist enemy.
Accuracy in Media founder and longtime AIM Report editor Reed Irvine noted that Cronkite “contributed a great deal to our defeat in Vietnam.”
Beyond Vietnam, Cronkite got it wrong on one of the big issues—freedom versus Soviet communism. In the 1974 book, TV and National Defense, Dr. Ernest Lefever examined how CBS News programs for two years had covered national security issues and concluded that the news organization was “an active advocate of several national defense positions which were frequently critical of U.S. policy, and usually from a perspective that implied or called for a lesser military commitment and lower defense expenditures.”
In 1972, for instance, the CBS Evening News aired nearly 1,400 presentations supporting the dovish view. Contrary or hawkish positions were aired only 79 times.
Asked about the charges, Cronkite displayed the bias that guided his news program, saying that “There are always groups in Washington expressing views of alarm over the state of our defenses. We don’t carry those stories. The story is that there are those who want to cut defense spending.” The “most trusted man in America” didn’t deserve our trust.
In 1979, he gave an interview to the Soviet magazine, Literary Gazette, and told Vitaly Kobysh that the “Soviet threat” was “most likely…a myth.” According to the magazine, Cronkite went on to say that “I will never believe in a ‘Soviet threat.’”
Shortly after the interview was published, the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. He retired as CBS Evening News anchorman in 1981.
Cronkite told AIM founder and editor Reed Irvine that he had been misquoted by Kobysh, and that he had a tape recording of the interview to prove it. The tape never materialized. Irvine ran into Kobysh at an international media conference and the Soviet journalist said the interview was entirely accurate.
After Ronald Reagan took office as President and proceeded to build up U.S. national defense capability, in the wake of the disastrous Jimmy Carter years, CBS News acted to counter the Reagan effort. They aired a five-part program, “The Defense of the United States,” in which Cronkite appeared to tell us that the relationship with the Soviet Union was dominated by “the same old fears and doubts” because we didn’t have a genuine dialogue with the Soviet communists.
Irvine noted at the time of the broadcast that CBS gave us “the Kremlin view that it is the United States, not the Soviet Union, that is striving for an impossible military superiority, while creating fantasies about Soviet aggression.”
However, Irvine noted that Reagan “was not deterred” by the CBS News assault, but that the momentum behind his election mandate to rebuild America’s defense was “weakened” somewhat by the constant repetition by the media that he was spending too much on national security. Cronkite’s accomplices in this crusade included Dan Rather, his successor, and Bill Moyers, then with CBS and now with public television.
For many years Irvine drew attention to the “persistent anti-defense bias of CBS News” and reported, “One has to wonder why the anti-defense bias is so strong and persistent at CBS. My own feeling is that it is a reflection of the views enunciated by Walter Cronkite that show a benign view of the Soviet Union.”
In 1989, while expressing the hope that the Soviet archives would one day be opened to demonstrate how the Kremlin manipulated American journalists such as Walter Duranty of the New York Times, who had lied and helped Stalin cover up his monstrous crimes that resulted in the deaths of 7-10 million Ukrainians, Irvine added that “It will be fascinating to see what they say about Walter Cronkite, who spent two years in Moscow after World War II as a UPI correspondent and who has been remarkably restrained in his criticism of that country ever since.”
This may sound harsh, but the fact is that Cronkite was consistently wrong about Soviet intentions, and his attitude dominated CBS News coverage of the old Soviet Union.
After the Soviet collapse, Irvine wrote a 1990 AIM Report about those personalities who had taken “a benign or even adulatory view of communism and the Soviet Union in the years since the 1917 Bolshevik coup d’etat.” Cronkite was on this list of “doves,” which also included “Hanoi Jane” Fonda.
It is fine to recognize Cronkite for his long life and many years as anchorman of the CBS Evening News. He captured important moments and reached millions. But don’t pretend that he was an objective journalist.
Cronkite’s journalism cost lives and could have cost many more, had it not been for a President named Reagan who had the courage to bypass the major media and go directly to the American people with the truth about our crumbling defenses when America was increasingly vulnerable.
“The country was very lucky to have him in that seat” as anchorman, Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace said, in paying tribute. No. America was fortunate to have escaped his pernicious influence. Now we have to try to escape the fate of world government that Cronkite made his primary cause later in life, which has been adopted by President Barack Obama and Pope Benedict XVI.

The death of Walter Cronkite has occasioned an outpouring of grief for the media personality dubbed “The Most Trusted Man in America”, by the media’s own polls. Cronkite, like Woodward and Bernstein, or Neil Sheehan, served as a turning point as the media’s love affair with itself went from creating its own icons, to treating those icons as a vital part of the national culture.
Cronkite’s genial fatherly manner and non-threatening good nature, made him appear trustworthy; which made him a vital asset for the media’s new role, that of “explaining America to itself”. That was the phrase that Newsweek editor Ellis Cose used when accepting the Honor Medal for Distinguished Service in Journalism, an award that would normally make one think of charging into minefields or rescuing the wounded from a battlefield, not writing articles for Newsweek. It is a phrase that communicates the media’s new role, to “explain” their image of America to the average American who is not nearly as in touch with his own country, as a Yale educated reporter living on the coast and working for a major media syndicate is.
News reporting began with one medium, the printed press. As technology improved, the transmission of news became more instantaneous and one medium became many, the media. Radio, television and the internet have each added a quantum increase in speed, so that reporting that once took hours or days, can take minutes. This acceleration in speed has made the media more omnipresent than ever. Across multiple media formats, the same message goes through over and over again with terribly trustworthy men and women hard at work explaining America to itself.
The convenience of the media remains its great asset. Advertising allows the media to sell access to its readers, but it is the unofficial product being sold that is the real problem. Across all the mediums, the message is not simple news, but advocacy. Media bias did not begin yesterday. When Jefferson wanted to take a poke at Washington, Hamilton and Adams, he used independent newspapers as a front for a propaganda war that threw around charges of treason, adultery and worse. Adams responded with the “Alien and Sedition Acts”, which liberal historians selectively condemn without taking note of what inspired them.
But as the media has become more omnipresent, its bias has also become more standardized and absolute. Wire services, network newscasts, cable news networks, nationwide radio chains that rely on recorded newsreaders, and finally the internet itself, has eroded community news. Once upon a time the editor of a regional paper printed what he thought of a matter first, and then would have to wait a week or so to find out if the New York Times agreed with him, assuming he cared about that sort of thing. Today a consensus on a news story emerges within a very short time, a consensus forged by the biggest media groups with the most bandwidth. Defying that consensus is risky and demands an effort of will. A story can no longer be run that defies the consensus without accounting for it in some way. And that consensus has meant the death of the free press.
That consensus represents the media’s perspective, better known as “explaining America to itself.” Are Americans really such hopeless dullards that they need their own country explained to them? That is certainly how the media sees them. Their contempt for the average American leaks through as pandering and the shameless rise of infotainment. It comes through in the iconization of newsreaders and increasingly dumbing down their reporting, while amping up their agenda. Like a propagandist screaming through a bullhorn, the media doesn’t care if you understand what happened, they want you to take away a simple message from what happened, their message.
Through the media’s eye, what matters about a shooting is that it could have been prevented with tighter gun control laws. What matters about a patient’s death is that it could have been prevented with government run health care. What matters about a suicide bombing is that it perpetuates the cycle of violence. What matters about a homeless man’s death is that we need more government public housing. What matters ultimately is the media’s perspective, and that perspective is ruthlessly agenda driven. Sometimes it is camouflaged with selective storytelling and between the lines bias, but lately it is hardly being camouflaged at all. And that too is the ugliest sign of contempt from the media to date.
The rise of the internet has threatened the media’s monopolization of the public debate, which is one reason why it has become so tempting to look at Cronkite as representing a golden age, a mythical period when all Americans listened to and believed one man. Mostly though the internet has threatened the profitability of the media, more than it has threatened it as a monopoly.
The mainstream media’s offerings are still where people go for news, and while more hardy souls are going off the reservation to blogs, the space off the reservation is often defined by the media as well. The big media monopolies still have massive power and brand name recognition on their side, and while newspapers may be closing, and radio stations may be getting a bit shaky, it will take more than that to make the media go away.
Yet the internet has attacked the media’s Achilles heel, convenience. Americans did not buy newspapers, listen to the radio or watch network newscasts because of trust, so much as because of convenience. And the internet has made convenience accessible to everyone. No broadcaster could compete with Cronkite, no one man handbill operation could compete with the New York Times. On the internet though it’s all just content, and while the media still has the power, that power comes at a high dollar and cents price, and without the monopoly, its profitability is eroding its ability to maintain that power. Paying a large staff costs money. So does advertising. And internet advertising isn’t profitable enough to cover that bet.
The New York Times as we know it will perish. So will most of the major papers. The monthly news magazines who have banked big on infotainment and lifestyle features, Newsweek and Time Magazine, don’t have a bright future ahead of them either. Not when their only real use is as something to read while waiting for the doctor to see you now. The network newscasts will follow. Cronkite was forced out by CBS and Dan Rather due to his age. His old seat was turned over to Rather, who was forced out by CBS due to his own age, and a breaking scandal. His ridiculously overpaid replacement is Katie Couric who doesn’t so much read the news, as sneeze it. She in turn will be forced out when CBS gives up hope that she can bring in a younger audience. The CBS newscast today is the lowest rated of the big three networks. Had Cronkite stuck around for a few years, he would have likely seen it die as well.
But that does not mean the media is over and done with. The New York Times may be dead, but Politico is the new New York Times. Just as the Drudge Report is the new New York Post. The old media will die, but a new media is being born. And the essential problem of the media will remain. That problem is the presumption of explaining America to itself through the media’s eye. It is the presumption that just as doctors treat physical problems and lawyers treat legal problems, that the job of the media is to treat what they see as America’s social problems.
By reporting not the news, but what it sees as the news, the media has repeatedly hijacked America’s political discourse to put across their agenda. When the media mournfully looks back at the golden age of Cronkite, Woodward and Bernstein; they are remembering the golden period when despite the will of the voters and the values of most Americans; their agenda became the national agenda. And a nation of the people, by the people and for the people; became a nation of the politicians, by the media and for those watching the media.

Just as the media – with the exception of Larry King – were finally getting over the passing of Michael Jackson came the news that former CBS newsman Walter Cronkite died. Cronkite was an iconic figure amongst his brethren and media encomia were suitably lavish.
Cronkite was recognized, we’ve been told over and over again, as the most trusted man in America. According to USA Today:
“How did he become ‘the most trusted man in America?’ It was a Roper survey for U.S. News & World Report, Cronkite once said, and he won ‘because they didn’t poll my wife.’”
Ever the skeptic, I tried to find that poll. The Roper Center’s Web site includes a link to data gathered for a 1974 “Virginia Slims American Women’s Opinion Poll.” Cronkite did indeed do better than any other male in that sampling. But note how the question was worded:
“And now here is a list of prominent men. (HAND RESPONDENT CARD) For each man on the list, tell me if you respect him a great deal, somewhat, or not at all.”
Cronkite’s name was on the list. So were those of 16 other men, including Marlon Brando, Ralph Nader, Jesse Jackson, Joe Namath and Frank Sinatra. Yet another contender was Richard Nixon, who that year became the only president to resign.
Respondents were limited to the names provided. The question didn’t center on trust, but on respect. A year earlier, a Sindlinger and Company survey asked a couple of thousand people to rate network newsmen for “trust and accuracy.” NBC’s John Chancellor narrowly edged out Cronkite in that poll. What I find interesting is winner Chancellor scored only 55.8 percent for trust and accuracy, suggesting that even back then a good number of people questioned what they were being told by the media.
And with good reason. USA Today’s article noted:
“Cronkite’s influence was such that after he ended a 1968 broadcast following a trip to South Vietnam during the Tet Offensive telling viewers that the war could not be won, President Lyndon Johnson reportedly told his aides, ‘If I’ve lost Cronkite, I’ve lost Middle America.’”
Mona Charen set the record straight in her book “Useful Idiots: How Liberals Got It Wrong in the Cold War and Still Blame America First:”
“Johnson misread the situation. Cronkite did not speak for middle America, but instead for the liberal intelligentsia and for a growing segment of the Democratic Party.”
Charen also quotes Cronkite on what he saw as an overreaction to Soviet threats: “Fear of the Soviet Union taking over the world just seemed as likely to me as invaders from Mars.” That’s a remarkable statement from a newsman who had personally witnessed another form of totalitarianism attempt world domination. The media Cronkite love fest is understandable to a degree. They are honoring their own and, in so doing, honoring themselves. But is it warranted?
In his 1984 “The Liberal Crack Up,” R. Emmett Tyrell, Jr. reflected on “the weird reverence” accorded Uncle Walter, as he’s now called on CNN:
“Here was a man who in all his public years never passed on more than a hint of intellectual substance. He just sat there in front of that infernal microphone! Yet he was esteemed as an authority on world politics and a moral paragon. He left no substantial books, no essays, no memorable epigrams. . . He dwelt in the land of bromides and wholesome attitudes. He was amiable, but he was unexceptional too.”
Walter Cronkite’s death is sad in the same way most deaths are. But let’s keep a little perspective here. He simply read the news, usually as written by other people. He came across as warm and friendly and didn’t blatantly parade his liberalism until after his retirement. But was he “most trusted man in America”? Not likely.
The Politics of Distraction

Former New York Times editorial page editor John Swinton said to a gathering of journalists: “There is no such thing in America as an independent press. You know it and I know it. The business of the New York journalist is to destroy the proof, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to sell his country for his daily bread. We are the tools of vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks; they pull the strings and we dance. We are intellectual prostitutes.” The media, which was given First Amendment rights by the Founders and expected to be watchdogs is, instead, in the politics of distraction. Walter Cronkite was no exception. He promoted global governance and felt the voters were too stupid to make educated choices on election day especially when they voted Republican. Let’s review what has taken place in the last few weeks that went unreported in the mainline media.
The May 24th Sunday Times of London reported the super-rich “philanthropists” gathered at the Manhattan home of Sir Paul Nurse, a British Nobel prize-winning biochemist and president of the private Rockefeller University, for a “summit convened on the initiative of Bill Gates, the Microsoft co-founder.” The purpose of the conference was to discuss “joining forces to overcome political and religious obstacles to change.” [1] The New Age movement is alive and well under President Barack Obama as he travels the world believing he is making new friends with former adversaries. The last two weeks in July the rich and famous secret rulers of the world will be flying by private jets into the San Francisco and Santa Rosa, California airports for the annual meeting at the Bohemian Grove where they conduct New World Order business in a pagan atmosphere. Perhaps a few lines will be written in the local papers but never the true intent of the gathering and outside of that area, these meetings are rarely reported in the print media.
Following are a few things that went unreported during the days the media was directing all its attention to Michael Jackson’s death and memorial and the Sotomayer confirmation hearings. [Read]
Sarah Fawcett received a little fanfare with her pre-arranged death documentary but Oscar Meyer, who died at the same time as Jackson received little notice. However, his jingle will be remembered long after Jackson’s songs are forgotten. Someone wrecked the Weiner mobile on July 17th. That received coverage. President Obama was visiting Russia during the Michael Jackson coverage offering to slash our nuclear stockpiles by one-third. President Reagan knew that Peace Through Strength was the only way to thwart threats from our enemies and Obama continues to apologize to other countries about America’s “evil” past. The Cap and Trade bill passed the House. Our personal electricity bills will rise and businesses will pass their higher rates on to consumers if it becomes law.
The Health Care and Hate crime bills were hurriedly being worked on during the Sotomayer confirmation hearings. President Obama wanted a vote on these bills before the August recess fearing Congressmen and Senators will return home and will be bombarded with opposition by disgruntled voters – many who put their “hope” in him at the ballot box on November 4, 2008. The Hate Crime bill, which even protects pedophiles, is being implemented as an amendment to the Defense Authorization bill to eliminate debate and to assure passage. Staffers are becoming rude and phones are being disconnected or found to be continually busy. [Read]
Also during the Sotomayer confirmation hearings, President Barack Obama met with top labor leaders to push for a second stimulus bill that he believes will produce more union jobs. Daily I see the Job Patronage bill unfolding before our eyes. The stimulus money seems to be going to states like Oregon that supported Obama for President. [Read] Federal stimulus dollars allowed Oregon legislators to fund K-12 public schools at $6 billion for the next two years, about the same amount as the current biennium allowing those in education to keep their jobs. Other public employees so far are keeping jobs with unpaid furloughs. California is the canary in the coalmine. Oregon is in financial distress also.
In addition, Oregon is one of five states that has been selected by the U.S. Department of Education to help develop a training curriculum for the new class of green jobs under a pilot program that could give a much-needed boost to the state with the nation’s second highest unemployment rate behind Michigan. They claim it is 12.4% but in actuality, it may be as high as 23% because some have quit looking for work and others have taken part-time jobs. Oregon also has the highest minimum wage at $8.40/hr. so business may not be hiring. Compare this to the slave wages in China at .25/hr. and $2.10 in Mexico [2] and where American companies are now moving. The other four states chosen for this education program are Ohio, New Jersey, Illinois and Georgia.
Along with 44 other states, Oregon is also applying for some of the $2 billion grant money that will be available for 100 mph high- speed trains from Vancouver, British Columbia to Eugene, Oregon. The week of July 13th saw thousands of bike riders coming into Portland from Seattle and north and it is becoming a common occurrence for six or seven miles of street to be closed off on weekends for bicycle riders. The best way to cut down on that nasty CO2 is to chuck your cars. Four thousand five hundred ($4500) is being offered for “clunkers” which includes the SUV’s a person can’t sell in order to buy something that uses less or no fuel. Oregon also gets $57 million to be used in unemployment benefits from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Oregon once had a robust timber and fishing industry paying many taxes but radical environmentalists in conjunction with the judicial system and trial lawyers have gradually shut that down. A memorial to the timber industry is scheduled to open August 30th and the stimulus funds are to be used so fishermen can fish for thousands of lost crab pots. How demeaning! Will we be able to eat crab pots?
The $1.2 billion investments in Oregon’s green economies they claim will produce more than 27,3000 jobs and reduce the state’s unemployment by several percentage points. Our once pristine beautiful Columbia River Gorge is now saturated with monstrous windmills on farmland above the river. Oregon is again being touted “pioneers.”
An ad being run on our local radio station tells people how someone else will help pay to have their homes weatherized. The state of Alabama is also getting a boost in federal money to weatherize drafty homes, an increase so huge that it has raised fears of waste and fraud and set off a scramble to find workers and houses for them to repair. A 7/16/2009 AP article said the feds are distributing $4.7 billion in stimulus funds for this weatherization purpose. Count on it. Where federal money is involved, fraud will follow.
This president, who has never met a payroll in his life and has continually lived off the generosity of the Nanny State, rather than cutting taxes, reducing regulations so that the free market can thrive and people can have jobs, he is trying to figure out new ways to delay foreclosures for jobless homeowners.
Another thing that slipped under the radar while senators were questioning Sotomayer was the $12 billion infusion that Obama wants for the community college system which is another effort to ease the considerable pain of the still sagging economy. How will that infusion work? It will keep college professors and others connected to the system working and will continue to be indebted to Obama and the Democrats the next election cycle.
The warning lights were on early in 2007 about the forthcoming financial meltdown. While the Democrats blame President George W. Bush for our current financial meltdown, in 1993 they were grumbling that the senior Bush left President Bill Clinton inheriting a poorly managed government that couldn’t keep track of the billions spent each year. Did things change under Bill Clinton?
When our elected leaders want to cover up something, they use the media for smoke screens. Let’s face it. Nothing happens in Washington, D.C. that someone doesn’t know about but it is kept under cover until they need a “scandal.” In the case of Clinton’s Watergate scandal, the world listened and watched as the long running media extravaganza known as Whitewater exploded into newer and potentially criminal realms. After the dust settled, a few of Clinton’s friends went to jail and a few mysterious deaths occurred under their administration but the Clintons got away unscathed. Later it was Monica Lewinsky.
Was all this a smoke screen to hide steps being taken to march America into its appointed place in the New World Order? The Clinton Crime Control Act promised to put 100,000 new police officers on the beat, surveillance cameras began to be installed and President George W. Bush’s Homeland Security expanded surveillance techniques. But there was one bill that didn’t get a lot of attention during Watergate – the National Competitive Act.
New Age environmentalism worshipping Mother Earth equates to communism. In 1987 Mikhail Gorbachev said, “We are moving toward a new world - The world of communism. We shall never turn off that road.” Just like Mikhail Gorbachev was carefully groomed to receive power in the Soviet Union, so it has been with Barack Obama. The carefully planned plot for the “wall to come down” was devised to keep the KGB in power but making people believe the Soviet Union was being transformed. Gorbachev came to America where he soon was sponsoring State of the World Forums for corporate heads to be propagandized in the New Age agenda in order to transform America from a Christian nation to a pagan nation and converging universal values distilled from all faiths (One world religion) but replacing the Christian worldview. A fundamental tenet of that system of government known as Fascism calls for private economic enterprises to become under centralized government control and that is what the National Competitive Act is providing under the Obama Administration. The 4/17/1994 front page of the Christian Science Monitor headline read: Business Comes Around to Idea Guidance from Washington. “After years of running from any suggestion of a government led industrial policy, many American corporate CEOs and small entrepreneurs not only accepted Washington’s help but are eager for more. They welcomed a policy that picked winners with federal financing, that takes aggressive measures to beef up American exports, and that recasts the relationship between business and government.” The federal government now owns 61% of G. M. Alan Stang passed away on July 19.
The feds also relieves these big corporations of promised retirement and health benefits that they can no longer afford. Since Obama’s take over of many industries and banks, we see the “convergence” of corporations with government by appointed bureaucrats called czars destroying some corporations while favoring others thereby eliminating competition. Congressional oversight means nothing when one party controls the Congress, the Senate and the White House. Obama has surrounded himself with “yes” men and women to help transform our nation from a “republic” into “totalitarianism.”
Our only hope was in Ron Paul for President in 2008. He’s been the House of Reps Constitutional conscience for many years. The Texas Congressman is rare in Washington but the GOP machine squeezed Ron Paul and his delegates out at the convention and the FOX crowd refused to give him any airtime. Well, another Independence Day. Another 2,000 tea parties attended by enraged Americans. But, also a display by arrogant politicians and just plain stupid Americans. Sen. John Cornyn of my state, Texas, was booed while he tried to sell more stink. But, he could care less. The ignorant, dumbed down voters (with the help of vote fraud) reelected this RINO in 2008 for another six years. The gutless city fathers of the City of Point St. Lucie put up a sign which read:
"The city of Port St. Lucie does not endorse, support, or condone the views or products of the organizations or individuals in this section. However we are required to make this space available to avoid the cost of litigation in reference to Section B."
Wouldn't want to lose any votes next election by actually supporting the true meaning of Independence Day. Better to stick with barbecue, booze and baseball. How these city fathers shame the memory of all the sacrifices by men, women and children and the blood that ran red rivers to birth a free nation.
Some of the cattle grazing along the sidelines had their cud chewing interrupted: "After voicing their opinions among themselves, the tea partiers then paraded into a nearby section of the city where a traditional Independence Day celebration was taking place with music and fireworks. Some onlookers appeared surprised, as they watched with open jaws as they read the messages on the tea party signs."
Why, Fiddle-dee-dee! Look at those folks talking out against the government!
The prize example of stupidity belongs to this zombie: "One man apparently upset by the demonstration shouted, "Stop politicizing the Fourth of July!"
There's nothing political about Independence Day. Not now and certainly not back in 1776. It was and is about freedom and liberty and stopping the tyranny clubbing us at every turn every day of the week. While America watched fire works, fished rivers and lakes and listened to fiery oratory, tens of millions do not remember (or choose not to remember) the massive lies and cover ups that have affected the lives of tens of thousands of Americans. They don't give more than a passing thought anymore to the victims and their families. Those who birthed this constitutional republic would be repulsed by the lack of interest and cowardice on the part of elected public servants who have turned a blind eye to getting the truth and exposing the murderers. They would be outraged that the American people would simply go about their business while murder and mayhem happens right under their noses.
Each and every one of these "events" remains a cover up while the guilty walk free. I haven't forgotten and neither should every man and woman in this country. Millions refuse to look at the hard facts because they cannot and will not face the truth. These Americans willfully believe lies to protect their comfort zones. So be it. As for the rest of us who have taken the painful road to reality, we will NOT stop until the truth is exposed and the guilty brought to justice.

If this 'incident' had been carried out by any other country except Israel, it would have been considered (and rightly so) an overt act of war to which Congress would have had the absolute duty to address. That statement isn't "anti-Semitic," because the great majority of Americans in this country don't even know what "anti-Semitic" even means. Nor is it a condemnation of the people of Israel, because they had no control over what their government did that day. Few Americans even know about this horrible event that killed 34 crew members and injured 174. After all, it was a long time ago, June 8, 1967. They certainly don't know that our ship was deliberately targeted:

"Fifteen years after the attack, an Israeli pilot approached Liberty survivors and then held extensive interviews with former Congressman Paul N. (Pete) McCloskey about his role. According to this senior Israeli lead pilot, he recognized the Liberty as American immediately, so informed his headquarters, and was told to ignore the American flag and continue his attack. He refused to do so and returned to base, where he was arrested."

"After surveilling USS Liberty for more than nine hours with almost hourly aircraft over flights and radar tracking, the air and naval forces of Israel attacked our ship in international waters without warning. USS Liberty was identified as a US naval ship by Israeli reconnaissance aircraft nine hours before the attack and continuously tracked by Israeli radar and aircraft thereafter. Sailing in international waters at less than five knots, with no offensive armament, our ship was not a military threat to anyone.
"The Israeli forces attacked without warning and without attempting to contact us. Thirty four Americans were killed in the attack and another 174 were wounded. The ship, a $40-million dollar state-of-the-art signals intelligence platform, was later declared unsalvageable and sold for scrap."

Long forgotten (1981). Except by the families of the 62 Americans and the liars in our government - including Ronald Reagan - who covered up the truth. I will continue doing all I can to keep this in front of the American people because some of those passengers were children. Even though the adults may have passed away by now, the Russians are holding the survivors and today as I write this, the usuprer president is on his way to play politics with the "Gray Cardinal," Vlad Putin. Putin is known in Europe as the Gray Cardinal because of his penchant for butchery while with the KGB. This thug is greatly feared because of his control of the Russian Mafia and drug trade.

Another cover up without question. The fairy tale told by the government and promoted by high paid radio and cable TV anchors is simply a farce and bears no reality to the truth. My dear friend, Ben Partin, a retired Brigadier General, U.S.A.F. worked on the development of continuous rod missiles and he believes that is what brought down the plane. The lies by high ranking FBI officials like James Kalstrom, demonstrates the complete, total rot and corruption that exists in Washington, DC. I don't know how Kalstrom can look in the mirror every morning without seeing COWARD written right across his forehead. However, with a full government retirement and a "few belts" at the watering hole, I guess in his mind he can justify lying to a nation and obstructing justice.

No fertilizer bomb stuffed in a rental truck brought down that building. THAT is a scientific fact. That building was blown from inside.
The Achilles Heel of the ruling elite. Another "event" so monstrous, half the people in this country will never question the government's propaganda and lies. For to acknowledge the scientific truth about the WTC Towers, Building Seven, the Pentagon and Flight 93 would be tantamount to cutting out their hearts and destroying everything they thought was true, and for being made fools of by those they admire and in some cases (Bush), worship. Very few even have the courage to read: After Pat's Birthday. Comfort zones must be maintained while waving those American flags.
There are many more, i.e., AA Flight 587, but the bottom line is thousands of Americans have been murdered. We the people have been lied to and those of us who have done the hard research continue to be vilified, threatened, our reputations trashed by cowards who won't look at the facts. Richard Gage, AIA, was my guest last Friday night on my radio show. I'm one of those reluctant researchers in that, like Richard Gage, it took me well over a year before I finally said, something is wrong here. For me, justice can never be "out of sight, out of mind."
Please take the time to watch Gage's two hour video here. Thousands of engineers, architects, pilots, combat pilot veterans, first responders, witnesses and victims all say the government's story is a lie. Those three buildings were brought down by controlled demolition. Are they ALL loons? Are they ALL kool aid drinkers? Don't let someone else do your thinking for you. See with your own eyes.
Each and every one of these horrific events has destroyed the lives of thousands and their families. We cannot forget them. We cannot allow those responsible to continue in walking around free while their families grieve because no one seems to care. How lonely it must be for them. I know my readers care and are sickened by these cover ups, including the Obama/Soetoro fraud.
The truth will come out on all of them because we are not going away. Cowards step aside. One day we will have men and women in public office with the guts and fire in their belly to say enough is enough and politics be damned!
The day of reckoning is coming.

As sad as the passing of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson is, the media is breathing a heavy sigh of relief (as I am sure the President is as well). Entire newscasts are now being devoted to these “superstars” – and sadly missing from the nightly newscast is the latest on the hundreds killed, possibly thousands detained and injured while marching for freedom in Iran. These freedom fighters are the true superstars.
Hollywood is entertainment (though rarely so now). The tragedy of the massacres, brutality, and beatings in Iran should carry much more importance. The inane drone of Shepard Smith lamenting the “tragedy” of Jackson is surreal. The real tragedy is that the Iran story is dead, at least for the dinosaur media.
There is a media blackout in Iran also, of a different kind. Iranian dissident Arash Irandoost appealed to Israel for help: “Dear Israeli Brothers and Sisters, Iran needs your help more than ever now. And we will be eternally grateful. Please help opposition television and radio stations which are blocked and being jammed by the Islamic Republic (Nokia and Siemens) resume broadcast to Iran. There is a total media blackout and Iranians inside Iran for the most part are not aware of their brave brothers and sisters fighting and losing their lives daily. And the unjust treatment and brutal massacre of the brave Iranians in the hands of the mullahs’ paid terrorist Hamas and Hizbullah gangs are not seen by the majority of the Iranians. Please help in any way you can to allow these stations resume broadcasting to Iran.”
Another Iranian freedom fighter, Amil Imani, added that “the protesters are very much in need of outside assistance to fight the technological and information war,” and said that “the Iranian people are lionizing any leader of any nation who comes out strongly against the Islamic Republic at this time.” But it looks as if Barack Obama won’t be playing the Lion King anytime soon. What a missed opportunity for the “leader of the free world.”
Despite Obama’s passivity, Iran and its henchmen are blaming America for the uprising. Hezbollah’s deputy leader, Sheikh Naim Qassem, said Thursday: “The extent of Western and American involvement in Iran’s internal affairs is now clear. What is going on in Iran is not a simple protest against the results of the presidential election. There are riots and attacks in the streets that are orchestrated from the outside in a bid to destabilise the country’s Islamic regime.”
As that regime strikes back hard, I do not believe the movement has been quelled, but I do believe it has been silenced. And this is partly due to the failure of the Western media. The mainstream media fearlessly took on Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney. They were so tough on those who didn’t share their ideological views. They had no fear of those they ridiculed, marginalized, tongue lashed mercilessly. Who can forget how they climbed all over each other to get embedded into Iraq so that they could make America look terrible?
But when it came to really doing their job, they have been absent on Iran. Why weren’t they clamoring to get into Iran to cover an historic, cataclysmic event? CNN has been the only news network to cover Iran in any depth. FOX has been negligent in its lack of coverage. Left leaning sites on the Internet have been leading the way – notably the Huffington Post, whose reporter Nico Pitney has been almost a singular voice in speaking up for the Iranian protesters. And blogs like Revolutionary Road and Get Honest Third Eye deserve commendation for doing the job the mainstream media has not been doing. Get Honest Third Eye had the first video that showed an Iranian being shot on camera by government officials. The shooting occurs while the person filming is quite far away, but the video then shows closer images of his body.
It is indelible images like those that reveal the full horror of what has been going on in Iran. But now, Iran’s citizen journalists have gone dark. The tweets are not coming in. “New” twitters, pro-Ahmadinejad (twitters with ironic names like “antifascista”) have been tweeting vile propaganda. The media can talk about Michael Jackson all day, with no news coming out of Iran to distract them.
The only losers are those who are yearning to be free.
