We are Not Alone!

Churchill ordered UFO cover-up, National Archives show
5 August 2010

The government took the threat of UFOs so seriously in the 1950s that UK intelligence chiefs met to discuss the issue, newly-released files show.
Ministers even went on to commission weekly reports on UFO sightings from a committee of intelligence experts.
The papers also include a wartime account claiming prime minister Winston Churchill ordered a UFO sighting be kept secret to prevent "mass panic".
The files show reports of UFOs peaked in 1996 - when The X Files was popular.
The Joint Intelligence Committee is better known for providing briefings to the government on matters relating to security, defence and foreign affairs.
But the latest batch of UFO files released from the Ministry of Defence to the National Archives shows that, in 1957, the committee received reports detailing an average of one UFO sighting a week.
The files also include an account of a wartime meeting attended by Winston Churchill in which, it is claimed, the prime minister was so concerned about a reported encounter between a UFO and RAF bombers, that he ordered it be kept secret for at least 50 years to prevent "mass panic".
X Files
Nick Pope, who used to investigate UFO sightings for the MoD, said: "The interesting thing is that most of the UFO files from that period have been destroyed.
"But what happened is that a scientist whose grandfather was one of his [Churchill's] bodyguards, said look, Churchill and Eisenhower got together to cover up this phenomenal UFO sighting, that was witnessed by an RAF crew on their way back from a bombing raid.
"The reason apparently was because Churchill believed it would cause mass panic and it would shatter people's religious views."
Reports of sightings of UFOs peaked in 1996 in the UK - when science fiction drama The X Files was popular.
According to the files, there were more than 600 reports in 1996, compared with an average of 240 in the previous five years.
UFOs have become the third-most popular subject for people to write to the ministry of defence saying please could you release this file”
Dr David Clarke National Archives UFO consultant
The figures for 1996 show 609 reported sightings of unidentified flying objects, 343 letters from the public to the MoD's UFO desk and 22 enquiries and questions from MPs.
But by 2009, the MoD's UFO inquiry desk -Sec(AS)2 - had been closed down.
The 18 files released on Thursday are the latest to come out as part of a three-year project between the MoD and the National Archives.
Dr David Clarke, a UFO consultant to the National Archives, explained why the papers are being made public now.
Dr Clarke told the BBC: "Since the Freedom of Information Act arrived in 2005, this subject - UFOs - have become the third-most popular subject for people to write to the Ministry of Defence saying 'please could you release this file, or papers that you hold on this particular case'.
"What they've decided to do is to be totally open and to say, 'look we're not holding any secrets back about this subject we've got all these files and we're going to make them available to the public'."
One includes details on "aerial phenomena" prepared for a meeting of the Cabinet Office's Joint Intelligence Committee in April 1957.
According to a note included in the Red Book, the weekly intelligence survey, four incidents involving UFOs tracked by RAF radars were "unexplained".
The documents also include reports of a famous incident dubbed the "Welsh Roswell" in 1974, where members of the public reported seeing lights in the sky and feeling a tremor in the ground.
Other cases included in the files are:
A near-miss with an "unidentified object" reported by the captain and first officer of a 737 plane approaching Manchester Airport in 1995.
A mountain rescue team called to investigate a "crashed UFO" in the Berwyn Mountains in Wales in 1974.
Attempted break-ins at RAF Rudloe Manor in Wiltshire - sometimes referred to as Britain's "Area 51" - the US's secretive desert military base.
The Western Isles incident, when a loud explosion was reported in the sky over the Atlantic in the Outer Hebrides.
The 14-minutes of "missing" film relating to the Blue Streak missile test launch in 1964, believed by some to show a "spaceman".
A gambler from Leeds who held a 100-1 bet on alien life being discovered before the end of the 20th Century, and who approached the government for evidence to support his claim after the bookmakers refused to pay out. The MoD said it was open-minded about extra-terrestrial life but had no evidence of its existence.
The files come from more than 5,000 pages of UFO reports and letters and drawings from members of the public, as well as questions raised by MPs in Parliament.
Looking for aliens in all the wrong places

In the television series V, flying saucers bring advanced “Visitors” to 29 cities of Earth. They cure disease and recruit teenagers to be ambassadors of cross-species peace. The Visitors soothe their new hosts with blandishments, but are secretly infiltrating Earth’s population and a few wily humans learn their secret: The aliens are lizard-like beneath their perfect human faces, concealing nefarious plans.
This scenario is not implausible, according to the world’s leading astrophysicist, Stephen Hawking. “Advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planet they could reach,” he proposes in a new documentary series launched on the Discovery Channel this week, kicking off a firestorm of media attention. Think of humans as the bewildered natives on the shore, Dr. Hawking added, and the alien as a tech-savvy Christopher Columbus – who got the best side of that story?
Trying to communicate with them, Dr. Hawking concludes, “is a little too risky.”
Unless they are already here. In April, , a survey of 22,000 people in 22 different countries reported that one in five respondents said they agreed either “strongly or somewhat” that extraterrestrials are already living in their communities, disguised as human beings. That works out to a lot of people presumably with humanoid aliens as neighbours – especially in China and India, where the number of people agreeing with that statement came in at an astonishing 42 and 43 per cent respectively. Canadians were more skeptical at 16 per cent: Which was less than the Americans at 24 per cent, but bigger believers than western European countries such as Denmark, at 8 per cent.
“Were the respondents drunk?” said Susan Clancy, a psychology professor at Harvard University and the author of Abducted: How People Come to Believe They Were Kidnapped By Aliens, echoing other sociologists’ doubts.
But surveys over the past few decades have shown an enduring belief in E.T. encounters. A 2005 Gallup poll, for instance, found that 24 per cent of Americans and 21 per cent of Canadians believe that “extraterrestrial beings have visited the Earth at some time in the past.” Believers also include Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who said in 2007 that the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration had covered up UFO visits; Miyki Hatoyama, the first lady of Japan, who insists a UFO carried her to Venus; and a portion of Denver’s citizenry who is pushing for an August vote that would require the city to form a commission to collect evidence that E.T. has already landed.
“There are a lot of people, more than you think, who do believe in impossible things, like aliens and abduction ..., and that [aliens] are here on Earth walking among us,” says Dr. Clancy, whose research included people from every social strata. “We’re exposed to a lot of cultural scripts [movies] that tell us it’s possible ... and most of us want to believe it’s possible.”
While India and China are not normally considered hotbeds of alien activity by science-fiction enthusiasts, news reports suggest that the level of belief in E.T. and UFOs may be on the rise. Both countries are emerging superpowers, with space programs. And both countries have a rich mythology of spirits and demons, and a strong tradition, in literature, of gods and goddesses taking human form.
“The notion that a being with the great powers of a godhead can move in the guise of humans or animals is already available in the mythology and religion of the region,” says Anand Mahadevan, a Toronto-based novelist who grew up in India, and who posed the question this week to some friends and colleagues back home. And supernatural beliefs can be sustained alongside science, he says. “Some teachers of physics who understand the mechanics of the lunar eclipse will still pray so that the demons Rahu and Ketu who are swallowing the moon will release it back.”
Science fiction is popular in Asia – Arthur C. Clarke was a long-time resident of Sri Lanka – and UFO sightings get widespread media attention. One theory, reported in the Times of India, suggests that the high number of UFO sightings in India may be linked to Hindu belief in mystical flying chariots.
China is also reaching for the stars, in reality and in imagination. An infamous sighting during a daytime solar eclipse in Deqing, China, was caught on film by students in 2009 and shown on Chinese television. The Chinese UFO Research Organization claims to be the largest network of ufologists in the world.
Just as the U.S. space program fuelled both a fascination with aliens and paranoia about government activity, China’s space program – the country launched in first lunar probe in 2007, and has vowed recently to continue it exploration of the moon – has inspired suspicions about the government.
“China has a long history of people being very skeptical about what their government tells them,” says Chris Rhea, an Asian studies professor at the University of British Columbia, “and has also entertained this possibility, that maybe there are these creatures around and the government is just not going to admit it.”
Yearning for Contact
Back in the 16-per-cent West, on an early February morning in 2008, David Fairn, a 25-year veteran of the RCMP, looked out his bedroom window and saw a strange set of lights in the sky. Peering though binoculars, the 65-year-old saw “a flat disc” circled by light with bump in the middle – the classical flying saucer. “It sat in one spot for half an hour, then it started to edge away a bit, and all of a sudden – boom – it just went.”
It’s not the first time he has seen what he believes was a UFO. While patrolling the coast in an RCMP police boat, he claims to have seen lights in the sky he can’t explain. Since moving into his home in Mission, B.C., Mr. Fairn says he and his adult son have even given chase. And he’s not shy about sharing his story, even to guffaws at the local pub. “If people want to be close-minded, they don’t want to believe, what can I do?” he asks.
Asked to consider whether he believe aliens are now walking the Earth specifically disguised as human, he puts himself in the “somewhat agree” category, hedging his bets. “I don’t know if they do, but I would not be surprised if they were,” he says on the telephone. “What better way to learn something than to walk amongst us?”
It has been 50 years since U.S. astronomer Frank Drake pointed his radio telescope into the stars, listening for an answer back. So far, the stars have been silent, but that hasn’t stopped us, scientists suggest, from trying to make sense of them. What David Fairn calls being open-minded, researchers suggest is actually our brain’s natural design – we are prone to believing strange things, even if the evidence is sketchy.
It’s a survival instinct, suggests Michael Shermer, author of the upcoming The Believing Brain, that centuries of scientific discovery hasn’t overcome – making us, as he puts it in his book, “pattern-seeking, agent-postulating primates.” There’s a natural selection, dating back to our early days on the plains of Africa, to assume that all rustles in the grass are dangerous predators, he says. “If you make the other mistake – that is, you assume the rustle in the grass is just wind and it turns out to be a predator, you are likely to be lunch.” That leads to all kinds of weird, supernatural beliefs, he argues.
And the idea of intelligent life elsewhere – however unlikely – makes the universe less empty. In the search for the meaning of life in a secular society, sociologists say, it’s no surprise that the idea of E.T takes root in our imaginations. Where God is supplanted by science, aliens, especially omniscient and benevolent ones, become a new kind of religion.
Stephen Hawking’s position this week – that aliens are to be avoided – falls into a cycle that keeps the human fascination with E.T. alive, drifting between real and pseudoscience, even as scientists and ufologists debated his argument this week. At Temple University in Philadelphia, David M. Jacobs, who has been studying alien abduction reports for more than 20 years, agrees with Dr. Hawking: “There is no evidence to suggest that extraterrestrials would automatically be benevolent. We might be easy pickings for them.”
On the other hand, suggests Seth Shostak, the senior astronomer at the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Institute in Berkeley, Calif., “I can hardly belief that any society capable of coming here, which is very, very hard to do, maybe impossible to do, has any interest in doing something malevolent to us.”
And on the long shot that intelligent life advanced enough to cross galaxies does exist, argues Paul Davies, an English physicist based in Arizona and the author of Eerie Silence: Renewing our Search of Alien Intelligence, they have certainly known about Earth and its resources for billion of years. “If they wanted them, they would already be here.”
Which is why, back in Mission, B.C., David Fairn continues to watch the sky, hoping for another sighting. “We’re having a dry spell,” he says. “I check every night.”

"In 1991, while monitoring a space shuttle mission, in the secret Mission Control Center at the Kennedy Space Center, I was flabbergasted to observe an entity that was eight to nine feet in height in the open Space Shuttle Pay Load Bay while it was in earth orbit."
by Clark McClelland
March 12, 2010
Since age 12, I have studied the extraterrestrial star races that are visiting earth. How can I say that with conviction?? Read on.
My career has been dedicated to the study of astronomy and space exploration at Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, from 1958 to 1992.
I graduated from a small technical college, Western Pennsylvania Institute of Technology. It does not exist any longer. Students now attend, Carnegie-Mellon University. My major was structural design engineering. I graduated with a 4.0 Grade Point Average.
When I initially arrived at Cape Canaveral, I was in demand. It was during the early space race with the USSR and the Cape seriously needed structural designers.
My career grew with greater responsibilities. I assisted in launching the ABMA (Army Ballistic Missile Agency) Jupiter C, Juno ll, and went on to the USAF Atlas, Titan, Minuteman, Thor, US Navy Polaris, Poseidon, Vanguard, NASA Saturn l, Saturn V, etc. I helped to design the rocket launchers and service towers working periodically with Dr. Wernher von Braun and his group of scientists during his many visits.
I have witnessed or assisted in launching 668 missions.
My final assignment was as a Space Shuttle Fleet, Space craft Operator (ScO). Mission astronauts said that ScO's knew the space shuttles better than the flight crews. We spent 12 or more hours a day inside them 6 to 7 days a week. Some called us GTA's, Ground Test Astronauts. It was a fitting title.
The Incident
In 1991, while monitoring a space shuttle mission, in the secret Mission Control Center, at the Kennedy Space Center, I was flabbergasted to observe an entity that was eight to nine feet in height in the open Space Shuttle Pay Load Bay while it was in earth orbit.
The entity was very tall, much taller than the two NASA astronauts floating near it. I could estimate the height due to being familiar with the sizes of the interior of the Pay Load Bay of the shuttle. I was not able to view all facial features, other than thinking I recognized two eyes, a nose and since it had a large helmet on, nothing else was evident.
It was in a body tight type uniform space suit. I saw it at a distance on a 27 inch TV monitor. It appeared that the NASA astronauts were familiar with the entity. The entity appeared to be communicating with the two NASA astronauts. There was some NASA commentary, from the Houston Space Center, but there was no mention of the entity. Following a few statements, the audio discontinued, and I cannot recall if I heard any other comments.
I was in a secret monitoring office, and it may have been their mistake in Houston Mission Control to allow my monitor to view that incident. I cannot say anything else other than that.
It suddenly was on one of my several monitors. I had several to observe various shuttle operations while in progress.
I also observed many UFOs flying near the shuttle on many missions.
the STS-48, the famous shuttle missions when we took several "shots" at escaping UFOs, I was on duty for that amazing incident. NASA said it was ice crystals. SURE IT WAS!
I have a POT LOAD of other data. No one will publish it. Why? Because they KNOW I KNOW the TRUTH. Hell, Buzz Aldrin knows a lot more.
That makes me believe WE ARE an ENSLAVED SPECIES on earth.
A large, strange, unknown spacecraft was safely in orbit behind the shuttle. It appeared as a somewhat short-winged object and did not appear to have been used as a spacecraft for traveling stellar distances. It appeared to be too small for that and probably would not be capable of deep space flight other than on board another more sophisticated carrier craft designed to be used for deep space flight I witnessed this astounding event for a total of one minute and seven seconds by keeping the lapsed time on my astronaut watch.
I am an expert in recording such unique activities. I wrote a detailed report. The report was not forwarded to the NASA mission launch director. I had no witnesses, and had I made an "official" report; which I did not, it may have caused me job difficulties. Although it still seemed it may have because what I monitor is also secretly viewed by NASA mission Control in Houston, Texas, so they apparently knew I was seeing this tall entity interact with NASA astronauts without being officially assigned to view it.
Later, an expert graphic artist was able to exactly create this observation of this occurrence for my website at URL: Open it and go to the link on the website that has the name, NASA Astronaut/Dr. Edgar Mitchell mentioned. Then visit the link: "Incidents" for more revelations and disclosures by Dr. Wernher von Braun, former Senator Barry Goldwater, and other disclosures that are probably unknown to you.
About two months following my incident, I was informed of another report by another aerospace engineer. This person was also involved in the launching of space shuttles.
This shuttle engineer observed a similar entity, eight to nine feet tall, INSIDE the space shuttle crew compartment as it orbited earth. Yes, inside the shuttle! It was slouched over to protect its head from hitting the shuttle overhead structure. Again, it was communicating with two much smaller NASA astronauts.
Neither the United States Space Program nor any other foreign Space Program known on earth constructs their spacecrafts to accommodate such physically large entities.
A few months following my experience, I was summoned to a NASA office. I was earlier told that I was being reassigned to the NASA Astronauts office for other responsibilities. The shock was the summons was not for an upgrade in my position, but rather a bogus charge that had me fired after so many years in service.
The committee said I had not listed a past address of a residence where I had lived on my original application. It was a minor error, if that. I returned the next day with a Xerox copy of my original employment application showing that in fact the past address in question had been added. They would not take it into consideration. A kangaroo court had heard my case and denied me my job, health benefits and retirement. Please, God, BLESS America. I have lived in poverty since that decision was made. After, you are fired from NASA no one will hire you.
People of earth, the human race are absolutely NOT ALONE in our Milky Way Galaxy and NOT in the vastness of the Universe.
During my numerous years in astronomical science and aerospace exploration, it is very obvious that the human race is controlled by an evil higher shadow government. It is powerful enough that it can override various national political decisions, keep us all in a condition of global slavery and total economic control. Are you aware of the decline we are presently experiencing?
The ancient Bible talks about Giants mating with earth women. Giants are included in all of earth history. Are they still with us?? The giants we both observed?
Please open my website at URL:
I would like to thank Dr. Henry Makow for his courage in having my report delivered to all of you. Few people have offered such assistance. I offer my genuine gratitude for his allowing this to be published through his website.

U.S. Astronauts reveal encounters with apparent Extraterrestrials and UFOs
Edited by Peter Tremblay
Rumors have persisted for years that the astronauts -- nearly all of whom are military officers susceptible to being silenced under orders -- may have seen something more on the Moon than rocks and dust.
According to transcripts of the technical debriefing following the Apollo 11 mission, astronauts Armstrong, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin and Michael Collins told of an encounter with a large cylindrical UFO even before reaching the Moon," U.S. investigative journalist and researcher Jim Marrs documents Mr. Aldrin further officially presented his encounters with apparent Extraterrestrials on CNN's Larry King Show.
Jim Marrs further presents that Mr. Aldrin said, "The first unusual thing that we saw I guess was one day out or pretty close to the Moon. It had a sizable dimension to it". Aldrin said the Apollo crew at first thought the object was the Saturn 4 booster rocket (S-IVB); but, he added, "We called the ground and were told the S-IVB was 6,000 miles away."
Mr. Aldrin described the UFO as a cylinder, while Armstrong said it was "really two rings" Two connected rings". Collins also said it appeared to be a hollow, tumbling cylinder. He added, "It was a hollow cylinder. But then you could change the focus on the sextant and it would be replaced by this open-book shape. It was really weird."
Even more strange was the experience of Mr. Aldrin and Mr. Armstrong, after they reached the Moon.
According to an Associated Press story of July 20, 1969 published in the San Bernardino Sun-Telegram, the astronauts sighted eerie lights inside a crater near the point on the Moon where their lunar lander was due to touch down the next day.
On their first sweep around the Moon, Armstrong described a mysterious bright light on the inner wall of the crater Aristarchus, located north of their flight path. "It seems to have a slight amount of florescence to it. The area in the crater is quite bright," he reported.
"That area is definitely brighter than anything else I can see. There doesn't appear to be any color involved in it. It looks like an eerie sight," confirmed Aldrin.
Two astronauts who appear to have broken ranks are Dr. Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper. On The Oprah Winfrey Show on 19 July 1991, Mitchell hinted that all information regarding UFOs has not been released, saying, "I do believe that there is a lot more known about extraterrestrial investigation than is available to the public right now [and] has been for a long time... It's a long, long story. It goes back to World War II when all of that happened, and is highly classified stuff."
On Dateline NBC in 1996, Mitchell was even more candid. "I have no firsthand experience, but I have had the opportunity to meet with people from three countries who in the course of their official duties claim to have had personal firsthand encounter experiences... with Extraterrestrials," he said. Jim Marrs says that "Mitchell flatly stated that some advanced military craft use technology derived from alien spacecraft that have been collected by the U.S. Government."
Cooper, in a letter read during a 1978 meeting at the United Nations to discuss UFOs, stated, "...I believe that these extraterrestrial vehicles and their crews are visiting this planet form other planets, which are obviously a little more advanced than we are here on Earth."
Also that year, Mr. Cooper wrote a letter to the ambassador of the Mission of Grenada to the United Nations supporting a UN initiative to study UFOs. In his letter, Cooper stated that astronauts "are very reluctant even to discuss UFOs due to the great numbers of people who have indiscriminately sold fake stories and forged documents, abusing their names and reputations without hesitation. Those few astronauts who have continued to participate in the UFO field have had to do so very cautiously. There are several of us who do believe in UFOs and who have had occasion to see a UFO on the ground, or from an airplane."
Cooper's mention of a "UFO on the ground. apparently was a reference to his own experience at Edwards Air Force Base on May 2, 1957. In 1993, Cooper gave this account of the incident: "I had a crew that was filming an installation of a precision landing system we were installing out on the dry lake bed, and they were there with stills and movies, and filmed the whole installation and they came running in to tell me that this UFO, a little saucer, had come down right over them, put down three gear, and landed about 50 yards from them, and as they proceeded to go on over to get a closer shot of it, it lifted up, put the gear in, and disappeared in a rapid rate of speed.
"And so I had to follow my directions as a military... I had to look up the regulations on who I was to call to report this, which I did, and they ordered me to immediately have the film developed, put it in a pouch, and send them by the commanding general's plane to Washington, which I did. And that was the last I've ever heard of the film."
It is interesting to note indicates Mr. Marrs that, "despite the continued protests that there is no government secrecy regarding UFOs, there is no public report on this incident. Although the event was listed in the Project Blue Book index, a full report and clear photos are suspiciously absent."
Yet Mr. Cooper, who reported the UFO landing, was selected as a Mercury astronaut only two years later. In a 1996 interview, Mr. Cooper said he discounts any conventional explanation for his experience. Asked his thoughts on UFOs, the astronaut said, "Well, I figured it was somebody coming from some distant place to visit us."
Steve Omar, another investigative journalist and researcher, indicates that J. Allen Hynek (who investigated U.F.O.s for the U.S. Air Force), Major Donald Keyhoe, Timothy Good (in his book Above Top Secret) suggest secrecy about UFOs and Extraterrestrials. One unquestionably absolute expert we may want to consult is Christopher Kraft, who was Director of the NASA tracking base in Houston during the Apollo Moon missions, when he revealed the following conversation “after” he left his work at NASA:
- ASTRONAUTS NElL ARMSTRONG and BUZZ ALDRIN speaking from the Moon: “Those are giant things. No, no, no .... this is not an optical illusion. No one is going to believe this!”
- MISSION CONTROL (HOUSTON CENTER): “What...what...what? What the hell is happening? What’s wrong with you?”
- ASTRONAUTS: “They’re here under the surface.”
- MISSION CONTROL: “What’s there? Emission interrupted... interference control calling Apollo II.”
- ASTRONAUTS: “We saw some visitors. They were there for awhile, observing the instruments.”
- MISSION CONTROL: ”Repeat your last information.”
- ASTRONAUTS: “I say that there were other spaceships. They’re lined up on the other side of the crater.”
- MISSION CONTROL: “Repeat...repeat!”
- ASTRONAUTS: “Let us sound this orbita ..... In 625 to 5... automatic relay connected... My hands are shaking so badly I can’t do anything. Film it? God, if these damned cameras have picked up anything... what then?”
- MISSION CONTROL: “Have you picked up anything?”
- ASTRONAUTS: “I didn’t have any film at hand. Three shots of the saucers or whatever they were that were ruining the film.”
- MISSION CONTROL: “Control, control here. Are you on your way? Is the uproar with the U.F.O.s. over?
- ASTRONAUTS: “They’ve landed there. There they are and they are watching us.”
- MISSION CONTROL: “The mirrors, the mirrors...have you set them up?”
> - ASTRONAUTS: “Yes, they’re in the right place. But whoever made those space ships surely can come tomorrow and remove them. Over and out.”
There is an unconfirmed report, also documented by Steve Omar, that when Buzz Aldrin opened the door after landing on the Moon, he immediately saw a transparent etherical being staring at him outside. Welcome to the Moon?? Allegedly, NASA Director Kraft added that there was a public and a secret private A.S.A. radio frequency between Moon and Mission Control and that the conversation above took place during a mysterious two minute interruption in public transmissions. To prove it is the truth, hundreds of independent CIVILIAN radio operators with powerful VHF equipment separately reported hearing the AME spaceship report from the Apollo moon-walkers!
"Soviet radio operators also picked it up and published it in Moscow. Another mysterious radio message from the Moon was broadcast on French public television only one time before it was censored AFTER it leaked out. That transmission appeared to be a mysterious clearly spoken ALIEN LANGUAGE," further reports Steve Omar.
The famous French historian and author Robbert Charroux published the transmission which has been suppressed in the U.S. It came from U.S. astronaut Worden who transmitted it to NASA, and expert linguists have been unable to translate the message.
