Avoid Chemotherapy and Radiation! (Part 2)

Chemotherapy backfires - causes healthy cells to feed growth of cancer tumors
by Mike Adams
Tuesday, August 07, 2012
(NaturalNews) Ever since chemotherapy was introduced into the practice of western medicine, doctors and oncologists have been trying to answer this nagging question: Why does chemotherapy seem to work at first, but then cancer tumors cells grow back even more aggressively while the body becomes resistant to chemotherapy?
It turns out that chemotherapy damages healthy cells, causing them to secrete a protein that accelerates the growth of cancer tumors. (
This protein, dubbed "WNT16B," is taken up by nearby cancer cells, causing them to "grow, invade, and importantly, resist subsequent therapy," said Peter Nelson of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. He's the co-author of the study that documented this phenomenon, published in Nature Medicine.
This protein, it turns out, explains why cancer tumors grow more aggressively following chemotherapy treatments. In essence, chemotherapy turns healthy cells into WNT16B factories which churn out this "activator" chemical that accelerates cancer tumor growth.
The findings of the study were confirmed with prostate cancer, breast cancer and ovarian cancer tumors. This discovery that chemotherapy backfires by accelerating cancer tumor growth is being characterized as "completely unexpected" by scientists.
The chemotherapy fraud exposed
As NaturalNews has explained over the last decade, chemotherapy is medical fraud. Rather than boosting the immune response of patients, it harms the immune system, causing tumors to grow back. This latest researching further confirms what we've known for years in the holistic health community: That chemotherapy is, flatly stated, poison. It's not "treatment," it's not medicine, and it's not prevention or a cure. It's poison with virtually no medicinal value except in perhaps one to two percent of cancer cases.
The No. 1 side effect of chemotherapy is, by the way, cancer. Cancer centers should technically be renamed "poison centers" because they are in the business of poisoning patients with a toxic cocktail of chemicals that modern science reveals to be a cancer tumor growth accelerant!
Chemo researchers wear spacesuits to protect themselves

(NaturalNews) Most Naturalnews readers know that chemotherapy is about the worst thing you can do if you're ever found to have a cancer. Of course, the medical industry claims chemo is a miraculous cure, but most natural health people know it's nothing more than a dangerous poison in disguise. But if you're wondering which is the truth, there are times when a picture speaks a thousand words. Have a look at how cancer researchers dress when handling the stuff. They look more like astronauts with their protective gear than any type of normal researchers. So, if chemo really is safe, why on earth would they wear that plastic head gear and those full body suits?
Looking at this picture, you have to ask yourself, why wouldn't the researchers and developers want to come anywhere near it? The answer, as it turns out, is pretty simple. Here are a few reasons...
Chemotherapy completely destroys the immune system which is needed to protect against every disease imaginable, including cancer itself. But chemo causes other diseases and problems too. Here are some of them:
• Abdominal pain
• Acute respiratory problems
• Anemia
• Anxiety and nervousness
• Blood clots
• Brain fog
• Death
• Difficulty walking and loss of balance
• General pain
• Hair loss
• Headaches and neck stiffness
• Hearing impairment
• Heart burn
• Impotence
• Increased risk of heart attack
• Much greater risk of infection
• Joint pain
• Kidney problems
• Lung problems
• Nerve and muscle damage
• Numbness
• Infertility in both males and females
• Rectal bleeding
• Ruptured spleen
• Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
• Sinus problems
• Skin reactions
• Sore or aching muscles
• Tremors
• Various types of heart disease and a general weakening of the heart
• Visual problems
• Vomiting
Wow, all this from a cure, huh? So let me ask you, does chemo sound more like a cure or a poison? It really doesn't take a PhD to know that a real cure shouldn't cause all of these other problems. In fact, if it was really a cure, it would also take away other existing problems.

Just How Dangerous Is Chemotherapy?
This next piece is from the University of Iowa’s web site [Note: the pages have been expurgated from their web site, however, we have here the only copy. 3/31/07]:
Patients and caregivers shall be taught safe, proper, handling and disposal of waste generated during continuous infusions of chemotherapy.
The following procedures should be implemented immediately if a chemotherapy leak or spill should occur:
1. Put on a pair of disposable latex gloves.
2. If chemo has spilled on clothing, remove immediately and take a shower, scrubbing the exposed skin with soap and water. Watch for redness, blistering, or a burning sensation. Contact your nurse to report the spill. She will give you further instructions if necessary.
3. Remove any and all sharp objects, placing them into your sharps container or any can with a lid such as a coffee can.
4. Soak up the spill with an absorbent disposable material, such as paper towels.
5. Disinfect the spill area with soap and water or a household cleaner such as window cleaner, 409, alcohol, bleach, or liquid carpet cleaner.
6. Put the absorbent material and the gloves into a chemotherapy waste container or garbage bag and carefully mark it. It will be picked up later by the pharmacy personnel.
7. If a spill occurs on a patient's or caregiver's clothing or sheets, these articles should be washed separately from regular laundry in hot water.
8. If a spill occurs on unprotected furniture, the area should be scrubbed with soap and water and rinsed with clean water while wearing protective chemo safety gloves.
9. Patients and caregivers should be taught to use care when handling vomitus or excretions of the patient for 48 hours post treatment and to use good hand-washing technique.
Is chemo dangerous?
Chemo is a powerful poison that is designed to kill cancer cells, but it can't tell the difference between a cancerous cell and a healthy one so it also kills healthy normal cells that are needed for good health. Chemo is known to drastically weaken your immune system for years and your immune system is your only defense against disease. Chemo can seriously damage vital organs such as your heart, liver, kidneys or brain.
The National Cancer Institute says, “While many side effects go away fairly rapidly, certain ones may take months or years to disappear completely. Sometimes, the side effects can last a lifetime, as when chemotherapy causes permanent damage to the heart, lungs, kidneys, or reproductive organs. And certain types of chemotherapy occasionally may cause delayed effects, such as a second cancer, that show up many years later.”
Your doctor will do his best to watch for these problems before they become life threatening but sometimes it is too late and the damage cannot be reversed.

Cancer, Chemo, and Crony Capitalism
When Medicare reduced reimbursements for oncologists in 2003, some physicians started giving their patients more expensive chemotherapy and other cancer treatments—in return for kickbacks from the pharmaceutical companies, a new study has found. The study, published in the journal Health Affairs, found that oncologists can buy drugs at deep discount and then dispense them at the higher Medicare rate in their offices. It lets oncologists run a kind of pharmacy as a side business (although it is rarely identified as such to the patients). This represents a considerable part of some oncologists’ income.
Talk about a huge conflict of interest! Oncologists prescribe specific drugs to their patients—and are then permitted to sell them those same drugs at a huge profit. Other doctors do not do this. But oncologists had an exception carved out for themselves.
Cancer patients often feel powerless, and they’ll do whatever their doctor tells them to do. Moreover, they can’t go to another source (other than another oncologist) for the chemotherapy drugs. And they often don’t have the luxury of time to explore other options and second opinions. It becomes, in effect, a closed market—crony capitalism at the expense of human health, made possible by a government favor posing as a government rule.
The authors of the study analyzed the records of over 200,000 lung cancer patients treated between 2003 and 2005. Before the Medicare cuts went into effect, 16.5% of such patients received chemotherapy; afterward, nearly 20%. That 2.5% difference could be considerable, especially if applied to a substantial portion of the 1,529,460 Americans that are expected to develop cancer in 2010, according to the American Cancer Society.
The study also found that doctors frequently switched to more expensive cancer drugs like docetaxel, for which oncologist get reimbursed about $2,500 per patient per month.
The bottom line, according to noted medical writer Ralph W. Moss, PhD, who created the important Internet journal Cancer Decisions, is that some oncologists in private practice may make crucial treatment decisions based not on medical necessity but on what is most profitable for themselves.
In his forthcoming book Customized Cancer Treatment, Dr. Moss notes that the public did not know about the existence of the chemotherapy concession until 1999. That year, at a Medicare Advisory Panel meeting in Baltimore, a gastroenterologist complained that the government had reduced his reimbursement rate for colonoscopies from $400 to $108. All the doctors in his internal medicine group were hurting, he continued, except for the two medical oncologists, whom he said were making a fortune running their in-office retail pharmacies. This offhand remark alerted the world to the fact that oncologists were selling drugs at a profit in their offices.
If this isn’t bad enough, it is much debated in the medical community whether many chemotherapy treatments do more harm than good. Dr. Mercola reported on a recent study which found that over four in ten patients who received chemotherapy towards the end of life suffered potentially fatal effects from the drugs, and treatment was “inappropriate” in nearly a fifth of cases. In a study of more than 600 cancer patients who died within 30 days of receiving treatment, chemotherapy probably caused or hastened death in 27 percent of cases.
In fact, as Mike Adams points out, even dispensing the chemotherapy drugs is dangerous, and the doctors, nurses, and pharmacists who handle the toxic medications are giving themselves cancer!
One last point: if you are ever treated with chemotherapy, be sure to review the scientific studies recommending the use of antioxidant supplements with it. Most oncologists refuse to accept any of this persuasive evidence and won’t tell you about it.
