Sessions, Tillerson, Trump-Tower spying: the media echo chamber
What's next? A Pulitzer Prize for throwing a stink bomb?
By Jon Rappoport
07 March 2017
Follow the bouncing echo show.
Jeff Sessions did talk with Russians or a Russian. About what? Who cares? He talked with a Russian. That's all we need to know.
Rex Tillerson broke with Trump's demand to slash the State Dept.'s budget by 37%. Then Tillerson said okay, he'd go along with the cuts in principle.
Trump said Obama was behind the surveillance of the Trump Tower.
The usual suspects, CNN and NBC and CBS and the NY Times and the Washington-CIA Post, etc., bounce these stories among each other and interview people who comment on the bounce, and so on and so forth, and whole thing builds to heavy accusations against the Trump administration, as if these matters are on the level of Watergate plus Benghazi plus Fast&Furious plus the Hillary email scandal plus Monsanto taking over the food supply plus the sale of 20% of US uranium to Putin...
Echo, echo, echo, echo.
"So Bob, as one who has been observing the goings-on inside Washington for more than two decades, have you ever seen such Horror?"
"Well, Mike, as the Washington Post reported the other day, about the story in the NY Times which commented on what you covered last week which was a summary of a CNN report, this scandal is reaching a crescendo of tsunami proportions, and the result could be impeachment or something very much like it..."
"As we said, after the BBC piece that reflected on the CNN assessment of the AP story, the Russians appear to have infiltrated or taken over every significant policy operation of the White House...do you agree that Putin could become the de facto president of the US?"
One and on it goes.
More outrage building on previous outrage of reporters covering other reporters covering other reporters' outrage.
"We, the mass media invent; we decide what you, the public, should believe."
This isn't a tempest in a teacup. It's a category 5 hurricane sitting on the head of a pin, or sitting on a pinhead reporter.
Reporters' disgust about the "scandals" is really disgust building on other reporters' disgust.
Most or all of it would turned off in a second if people just stopped going to mainstream news for their news.
The essential message of mainstream news is: "We know Trump is evil personified, so it doesn't matter what we say about him. We're doing a public service. But anyway, stay with us as we deliver the facts. The new definition of 'fact,' is: whatever we can bring down on Trump's head. If one of his policies (e.g., don't send weapons to Ukraine) is in line with Obama's policy, we'll ignore that and say Trump is bowing to Putin's desires. If Trump says he wants to bring jobs back to America and defeat the forces of Globalism, we'll ignore that. We don't care about all the Americans who were thrown out of jobs. They're 'bitter clingers'..."
Sub text: "Okay, so we supported the war in Iraq on the basis of no evidence, and maybe a million innocent people were killed there, but who cares? We're your reliable source of news. Stay with us. We never criticized Hillary Clinton for her role in turning a whole nation, Libya, into a hell hole of chaos. Who cares? Stay with us."
If you need to, substitute the generic phrase "any American president" for "Trump." And then think about the relentless echo-chamber campaign to destroy that presidency. By any means.
CNN is now reporting (this is real, I'm not making it up) that Trump, in an Oval Office meeting, read the riot act to Steve Bannon, Sean Spicer, and others about their failure in handing the "Jeff Sessions affair." So what? Sources fed that tidibit to CNN. Which sources? Who cares? An ambiguous video of a minute or two from that Oval Office meeting (no sound) has emerged. It was shot from outside the White House. By whom? No answer. Somebody sneaked on to the White House grounds? A White House staffer shot the video? What's next? Video of the president shaving in his bathroom? An MSNBC reporter throwing a stink bomb in the press room?
"I threw the stink bomb because I had to. It was the only way I as a journalist could register my reaction to a lesser level of access to the president. I defend the act as good and proper journalism. I'll be presenting a seminar at Columbia in a few weeks, where I'll outline non-verbal reporting strategies in the new atmosphere we all inhabit...
Anything could happen. The children of the press are throwing one tantrum after another, because they couldn't get their girl into the Oval Office. They've thrown away their masks. They want their candy before bedtime.
And they'll burn down the house if they can't have it.*******
This is as Serious as it Gets
President Trump has been provided the evidence of a paper trail leading to a FISA court that substantiates his assertions that Obama, obtained authorization to eavesdrop on the Trump campaign under the pretense of a national security investigation

There is a large storm brewing over Washington, DC right now – a storm that could dwarf anything ever seen in recent times. It is growing stronger by the hour as new information is being disclosed that strongly suggests that it is possible, even likely, that Obama and his Department of Justice maliciously and criminally misused the FISA process to collect intelligence on Presidential candidate Donald J. Trump. Additionally, Obama personally relaxed the limitations on how such information collected could be disseminated in the weeks before leaving office.
The political ramifications from this, if proved correct, could be unprecedented in scope. Once fully exposed, it would explain the curious actions of Obama as he prepared to vacate the White House. It would also explain, in context, the actions and statements of not only Barack Hussein Obama, but others in key positions of power including Loretta Lynch, Sally Yates, John Brennan, and others within the media.
At issue is Obama’s insistence to secure a federal wiretap warrant of Donald J. Trump, the candidate, using the federal court system as the mechanism to do so. The ostensible probable cause was alleged ties between Donald J. Trump and/or his associates with Russia.
The first warrant application was made in June 2016, according to reports published by The New York Times and elsewhere, but was rejected due to the lack of probable cause of criminal activity.
When the request was denied in regular federal court, Obama and his Justice Department attempted an “end around” by citing the existence of a “foreign actor” and made a similar surveillance warrant application through the more specialized Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court in October of 2016. According to published reports, that warrant application was rejected as well, a rare occurrence in the FISA venue, which strengthens claims that no evidence of any foreign involvement ever existed. It has been reported that the initial warrant application to the FISA court specifically named Donald J. Trump.
It is also relevant to note here that this is the type of activity that led to the creation of the infamous “Wall” that was referenced after the 9/11 attacks. Its relevance to this specific instance is explained well by former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy in this January 11, 2017 column.
Apparently undeterred, the Obama Justice Department submitted yet another application to the FISA court, this time omitting the name of Donald J. Trump and submitting it as a FISA specific case. The FISA court reportedly approved the application under the new and more narrow scope. Specifically, ties to two Russian banks: Russia’s SV bank and Alfa Bank. The alleged target was a computer server reportedly situated inside the Trump Tower.
Based on the lack of action consequential to that warrant and wiretap, it has been stated (and can be reasonably determined) that no actionable evidence was found.
Shortly before leaving office, Obama expanded the power of the National Security Agency (NSA) as detailed in the unclassified document titled Procedures for the Availability or Dissemination of Raw Signals Intelligence Information by the National Security Agency (NSA). As detailed in that document, limitations were changed on what the NSA could do with the information they collected through their surveillance operations. These changes effectively relaxed the restrictions on the dissemination of information collected on private citizens by broadening the access to such information.
It is also notable that on January 3, 2017, U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch signed off on rule changes for phone taps.
It appears that President Trump has been provided the evidence of a paper trail leading to a FISA court that substantiates his assertions that Barack Hussein Obama, working in concert with others including those wielding the full might and power of various federal agencies, improperly obtained authorization to eavesdrop on the Trump campaign under the pretense of a national security investigation, and continued such monitoring beyond its tenuous scope even when no evidence of wrongdoing was found.
This is as serious as it gets.

ObamaGate- The Wiretapping of Trump and His Election Campaign by the Obama Government
Yes folks, we have returned to “Watergate”, 2016-2017, aka “Obamagate”
By Mitch Wolfe —— Bio and Archives
March 5, 2017
What did former President Obama know about the wiretapping of the Trump organization and its campaign. And when did he know it?
I personally believe that Obama will be held responsible for the unprecedented wiretapping of the campaign organization of Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for U.S. president during the presidential election- for partisan purposes.
In other words, the Obama Administration used government agencies under its control and influence to undermine the presidential campaign of Donald Trump against Obama’s preferred candidate, Hillary Clinton. And when that failed, Obama with his supporters still entrenched in these government agencies, used and is still using certain government people still loyal to him, to undermine the democratically and popularly elected president of the United States, Donald Trump.
Yes folks, we have returned to “Watergate”, 2016-2017, aka “Obamagate”.
On Saturday, in a series of provocative tweets, President Trump accused the Obama team of conducting surveillance on Trump Tower and in effect the Trump campaign during the election and after the election.
Predictably, an Obama spokesman denied that Obama or the White House gave the order to wiretap the Trump Tower or any surveillance of Trump or his campaign. But the same spokesman stated that such a surveillance or wiretap would have come from an “independent investigation led by the Department of Justice.”
Conducting surveillance on Obama’s and the Democrats’ political enemies, namely Trump and his political organization
Jon Favreau, a former Obama speechwriter tweeted a warning to presumably liberal mainstream reporters,” I’d be careful about reporting that Obama said there was no wiretapping. Statement just said that neither he nor the WH ordered it.”
Recall the Guardian newspaper, through its own investigation and the investigation of former MP Louise Mensch disclosed in November, 2016 that the Obama Administration sought a court warrant from the secretive Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA), to monitor communications involving Trump’s staff in June, 2016, presumably Trump himself. This was denied but a more narrow court warrant authorizing such surveillance was granted in October, presumably against two individuals on the Trump team with ties to Russia being Paul Manafort and Carter Page.
Bottom line, the Obama government which includes the Department of Justice, run by Obama loyalist Attorney General Loretta Lynch, the FBI, which reports to Lynch and some counter-intelligence agencies have been conducting surveillance on Obama’s and the Democrats’ political enemies, namely Trump and his political organization.
This activity raises two important questions. Is such surveillance justified on national security grounds? And should Obama be held responsible, even if he did not personally order such wiretapping?
I believe the Obama Administration is wrongfully using the cover of national security in this case.
Wiretapping private American citizens is generally prohibited unless it can be shown that such individuals are engaging in the sale or theft of state secrets or that such individuals are agents of a foreign country and these agents are trying to influence American policies and American decision makers.
Though both Manafort and Page may have been advisers to Russian companies or entities (in itself no crime), (Manafort resigned as national campaign manager for Trump in August, 2016 and Page in September, 2016), it makes no sense that they posed a national security threat as they had no influence over the Obama Administration or even Trump who was a mere presidential candidate, possessing no governmental power or decision making authority.
The only conclusion that can be drawn is that these government agencies; the Department of Justice, the FBI, the CIA and the National Security Agency, all populated by Obama/Clinton loyalists were investigating these persons for partisan political purposes in an effort to obtain embarrassing information so as to derail Trump’s campaign. And post-election, to delegitimize the Trump presidency and undercut Trump’s appointees.
There is a very strong smell of illegality and corruption in connection with how the conversations of Lt. General Michael Flynn, Trump’s national security advisor, and a private American citizen were wiretapped ( was that legal?) and supposedly national security- protected transcripts of his telephone conversations with the Russian ambassador were leaked by these very same pro Obama national security officials. The actual conversations were harmless. Flynn’s lying about the existence of these telephone calls was the cause of his resignation.
Finally, as to Obama’s personal culpability, the buck starts and stops with the president. Obama has turned the Department of Justice, the FBI, CIA and the NSA into biased, partisan, political arms of his presidency and the Democratic party.
In the middle of the FBI investigation of Clinton’s emails, Obama deemed Hillary innocent. Subsequent events prove that Loretta Lynch, head of the DOJ and the FBI marched to Obama’s order not to indict Hillary regardless of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
It follows that these agencies were also doing Obama’s bidding with respect to the questionable wiretapping of the Trump organization. Obama should be held to account, fully investigated and if found guilty, punished with the full force of American law.
Regardless, the jury of American public opinion will decide Obama guilty for these outrageous government actions against his political enemies.
